Chapter Five

I hung up my apron on the pens at the back of the kitchen. I sighed softly finally my shift is over even though I don’t want to go home it’s still hard work trying to please the customers especially old women they are so cranky and moody and...Old. Seriously I hope I don’t turn like that when I’m old.

I got my hand bag and my keys I drove home silence the peaceful atmosphere relaxed me slightly I breathed in deeply rolling down the window the cold night’s air hit me in the face gently. I smiled as the cold wind whipped at my face. my brown long hair blowing into my face I felt free for a second happiness cursed inside my veins do you ever get that like you heart swells up with happiness and you feel all giddy for no reason what so ever. I think it’s the night’s air maybe it’s because it reminds me back when I lived with my Dad and he would take us to the park and I would have my face stuck out of the window with the air blowing onto my face it brings back good memories that are long forgotten. I turned around the corner and parked in front of my new house. I switched off the car and took the key out of the ignition and sat silently in my seat admiring the house it’s quite big and pretty.

A knock on the cars window bought me back to reality I turned my head in the direction of the knock in front of me stood Jonathan waving his hand around like a crazy man. I smiled at him and his childish behaviour before getting out of the car. He ran over to my side and took me in for a hug lifting me off my feet. my heart thumped loudly in my chest and I felt a little bit light headed but that was about it. I think the happiness inside off me had disabled the fear of people touching me temporarily.

I laughed and smiled widely are all gang members this friendly? Actually I can answer that question on my own I’ve been around so I would know. No they are not all this friendly for example take my foster brother and foster father I would probably say they are far from nice or even decent people.

“Come on!! We bought dinner” he said his eyes twinkling in the moon light or maybe it was happiness?

“okay okay I’m coming” I laughed lightly at his excited tone and walked in behind him as he unlocked the front door I could hear the rest of the guys talking inside I walked into the living room where all the boys were seated and there was Javeirsafac I blushed slightly as I remembered how much of an idiot I had acted. His eye brows where furrowed close together his teeth clenched as he furiously pressed the buttons on the control Mark was in a similar state completely focused on the screen while Reece sat and watched them he looked like he was into the game as much as the other guys. Which kind of surprised me. Watching somebody else play gets quite boring.

“Hey guys” I called out as I went up to my room I heard Reece call back but it seemed the other guys where to focused in to the game. I got changed into a pair of shorts that stopped just above the knee and a old t-shirt the problem is that I don’t really have long pyjamas bottoms I’m used to sleeping in Michaels shirts. I’ve always lived on my own so it didn’t matter.

I went down stairs I jumped over the last four steps professionally landing on my feet. I raced to the living room and I jumped over the sofa but as clumsy as I am I had to end up jumping to far and ended up falling off the sofa and landing on the wooden floor. I scrambled to my feet quickly but not quick enough I looked around and noticed that the Javeirsafac and Mark hadn’t noticed but I can’t say the same about Reece his face was pure red and he had his lips tightly clamped he was shaking lightly. I narrowed my eye’s at him signalling to him to shut up.

I turned to face Javeirsafac and Mark “What do you guy’s want for dinner?” I asked. Javiersafac or Mark paused the game and 4 heads turned to stare at me like I just came down from mars on an alien ship their eyes wide with surprise.
