Eliza's POV
I sat on a bench, pressing my fingers together nervously waiting for Alex
I looked up at the sky, 'alex must have done something stupid' I thought 'he would be more careful... but he is only 3... I can't blame him'
"Ms. Sch-Hamilton?" Lafayette asked. Snapping me out of my thoughts
"Hello Lafayette!" I said cheerfully, seeing alex, he was smiling too "hello Alexander"
"Liza!" He chirped "I missed you~" he whined
"Thank you Gilbert" "you're welcome Elizabeth. Have a pleasant day!"
Then he left
"Ok you smol bean" I said, he chuckled at the name "what'd you do?"
He hung his head, faking to be sad. I lifted his head, "what'd you do, silly"
"John got in a duel with Charles lee" "and?" "And I maybe convinced him to do it"
"Alexander!" "I'm sorry..."
He hung his head once more. Not faking this time
"I wrote to Washington a lot. Begging him to send you home"
His head spins up, his eyes widened his shock and sadness
"Why?" "I was worried for your safety lexy" I said and played with his hair, "it's alex..."
I spend him around so he wouldn't be facing me, but the world around us
"Alex look around! You're so so lucky to be alive right now. With me"
"Eliza. You should have told him to tell me..."
He's learnt a lot of words. Plus grammar
"Would you be happy with me being your kid? A poor 3 year old kid?" "Alex, of course. I love you"
"I love you too"
Alex's POV
I can't believe it... Washington would have let me stay if Eliza wouldn't have wrote though letters to him. I'm about to cry
"I'm sorry" she whispered softly, playing with my hair once more "it's fine..."
She got up. And we went home
