"Babe," Jace called. "Hurry up!" They had to be at school for testing. Simon had been stressed these past few days over it. This meant a lot to him. He had to pass it with a perfect score. Just as his sister did. His mom did. His father and so on. Simon sighed and began walking downstairs. "Simon!"
"I am right here," Simon snapped. "I had to make sure I had everything ready. This is really vital for me Jace."
"I know. But, we can't be late for how vital it is," Jace said. Simon glared at him as they walked out. They've been on the rocks for a while now. Both of them were stressed off their asses. They either fought, or they spent small amounts of time together. Either way it wasn't good for their relationship. When they fought, they wouldn't talk. Of course neither of them wanted this, but stress... It affects everything about you. They had to plan a one year anniversary as well. Which had brought even more stress into their lives.
"Simon," Jace looked at him. Simon hummed as he looked out the window. "Look at me."
"I am Jace," Simon turned to him. "What?"
"This is going to be okay," Jace said. "You're going to pass.... I love you."
Simon smiled,"thanks babe. I love you too. You're going to do great as well." They went in and took the tests. It took an hour each test. They have all prepared for this, but they didn't feel ready. They would find out the results in a few weeks.
Simon was on edge in the last week. He waited. They all were waiting. Clary had stopped drawing in the last week because she couldn't think. One by one they started getting their scores. Clary got hers first. Then Isabelle. Then Jace. Simon was waiting on his. Which put him over the edge. He was dangling off the edge over the ocean of pitch black anxiety. They had tried to to give him words of encouragement, but he didn't want to listen. Nothing good could come out of a long wait like this.
Jace was over at Simon's. It was morning and mail hadn't came yet. Today was the last day. And everyone who has gotten there this late... They weren't good.
"Hey... It's gonna be fine," Jace said sitting next to him. "You just need to calm down." He grabbed his hand and rubbed his thumb over his knuckles. Simon sighed. Jace pulled his face towards him and kissed him lightly. "Kiss me back."
"Or what?" Simon said.
"Or else. I will have to make you," Jace said. Simon rose his eyebrows. Jace grabbed his chin again and licked Simon's nose, which he scrunched up and laughed. He finally kissed him back.
There was a knock at the door. Simon ignored it as Jace pulled him closer. Simon deepened the kiss by wrapping himself around Jace. Jace bit his lip and kissed down his jaw. Then stopped at his neck. He ran his teeth over Simon's skin, forcing him to shudder. Jace took notice and did it again. There was another knock at the door. Simon pulled himself away from Jace with an annoyed sigh. He went to the door and seen the mailman.
"Simon Lewis?" He asked. Simon nodded. "Sign here." Simon did as told then took the envelope. He shut the door and then gave Jace a look. He shrugged and Simon opened the envelope. He pulled out the letter and began reading.
"Simon Lewis... You have received a perfect score... Jace!" He gasped. "I got a perfect score..." He couldn't believe it. He was shaking with excitement. Jace came in to the hall and read the note and smiled proudly at his boyfriend.
"I told you," Jace smiled. "Good job babe." He kissed Simon, and Simon wrapped his arms around Jace's neck and pulled them against the wall. Jace was a little surprised at his sudden burst of sexual affection. He used his hands to hold Simon up. Simon jumped up and Jace grabbed Simon's legs out of instinct. Friction had made Simon hot. There was a knock at the door again. Simon groaned.
"Leave it on the ground," Simon gasped as Jace attacked his neck again. He heard footsteps leave. Jace bit his neck which caused Simon to moan out and tighten his hands around Jace's shoulders. He ran his hands through Jace's blonde hair and tugged a little when Jace went lower. Simon was breathing heavily. His eyes rolled back and his fingers curled in Jace's hair and shirt. Both of them were quickly becoming hard. Friction quickened between them every moment. "How about we get somewhere a little more comfortable?"
"I think that's a great idea," Jace sighed. Simon went to get down, but Jace wouldn't let him. His grip tightened. "I'm not letting you down now..." He carried Simon up the stairs and with every step he kissed a different place on Simon's body. Simon was heaving for air. His chest raising and falling, almost as fast as his heartbeat. His skin was on fire. Every time Jace kissed him it sent a tingle of ice through out his whole body.
They pushed through the door and Simon kicked it shut after them. Jace pushed him back on to the bed. He pulled his shirt off as he climbed on top of Simon. He pulled off Simon's T-shirt and threw it on the ground. He kissed down Simon's chest slowly. Simon squirmed under the blondes touch. Every kiss made his skin feel like electricity was running through it. Every teeth graze made him moan and tangle his hands deeper into Jace's feathery hair. He pulled him back up and connected their lips together. Simon flipped them over. He slid down and kissed down his chest then his abs. Over his tattoos and down his happy trail. He unzipped his jeans and let Jace kick them away, as he pulled his own jeans off. He could faintly see Jace's member through his boxers. He loved the way Jace looked underneath him. He kissed right above Jace's boxers and ran his fingers down his thighs lightly.
Jace was getting harder every second Simon teased him. Then he felt the cool air hit his erection as Simon pulled away his boxers. He sucked in a harsh breath and then he felt warmth. His eyes widened and he seen Simon wrapped around him. His head moving slowly down. His tongue swirling around his now throbbing member. He ran his hands through Simon's soft brown hair. Simon quickened his pace after Jace let out a groan. He bit his lip as Simon hummed, making Jace tighten his grip around the brown locks of hair. He pushed Simon father down, almost making Simon moan. Jace's cock was dripping and he felt like he was going to come. Simon suddenly stopped and blew cool air onto his top. Jace moaned again. Jace pulled Simon's boxers off and flipped them again. He ran his tongue down Simon's stomach and thigh. He licked the tip and swirled his tongue and Simon instantly moaned his name.
"Jace," Simon moaned out. "I need you." He could barely get the words out as Jace continued swirling his tongue around Simon's erection. Jace got harder by the words. Simon turned to his stomach and pulled out his bottle of lube. Jace only smirked at him as he took the bottle. He added the cool gel like substance onto his finger and ran his other hands down Simon's spine. He circled Simon's hole and then inserted one finger. He slowly moved it as he kissed down the brunettes back and played with his nipple. He added another and Simon rocked his hips with it. Groaning as Jace added another finger he pushed his hips back and bit his lip. Jace didn't think he could be more turned on then he already was. But, when he seen Simon push himself back he lost it. He pulled out his fingers and lined his member. Simon nodded and Jace pushed himself half in giving Simon a moment to get used to the feeling. Then he pushed completely in. Simon moaned again and tightened his hands on the bed sheets.
"Move," Simon breathed out. Jace slowly pulled himself out and then pushed himself back in. Sweat glistened both of them. Falling from Simon's forehead and running down Jace's chest. "Faster."
Jace did as told and pulled out then slammed into Simon again. Simon was a mess underneath Jace. Moaning his name and rocking his hips at the same pace as Jace. Jace had his hair in his hand and was pulling on it. Which he liked. Jace kissed down Simon's spine leaving little love bites down it. Jace had found Simon's spot and continued to hit it. Simon was a mess of screaming Jace's name and moaning. He couldn't make out words. "Jac-ngh!" And every time Jace heard it he got closer and closer to exploding. He began slowing down then quickening. Changing the pace drove Simon insane. Simon tightened around Jace and that drove him over the edge a little and he came. Simon came all over his chest and bed. He rode out both of their orgasms moaning. He loved the feeling of Jace inside him coming. Jace pulled out and fell next to Simon. They were both breathing heavily. Simon was smiling.
"Why did we wait?" Jace gasped.
"I don't know, Jace," Simon poked his side.
"I'm glad we did," Jace smiled at his boyfriend. "And I'm so proud of you for perfecting that test. Like I said you would."
"I'm sorry for being a dick to you. I know we didn't want this. You especially... But, I was so stressed..." Simon began.
"Simon. We both were. We both were dicks. There's no need to be sorry. We were both extremely stressed," Jace stopped him. "So what was this? Make up sex? I'm proud of you sex? Or sexual tension sex?"
"Why does this have to be put into a category," Simon asked confused.
"It doesn't," Jace chuckled. "Babe... We should talk about what we are going to do after graduation and everything."
"Yeah?" Simon turned onto his side.
"Well you are going to NYU," Jace started. "I haven't figured out what I'm doing yet."
"I thought you wanted to go to school for music?" Simon looked at him.
"That was an idea. I have more than one thing I want to do," Jace explained. "I'm athletic. Charming. Smart. I could be a lot of things."
"Well I've realized that... But what does your heart say?" Simon asked.
"It's not saying anything about my schooling," Jace sighed. "Just you..."
     "Me?" Simon asked.
"Yeah. I want you and me," Jace explained. "Together. Living in a New York apartment..."
"That would be nice," Simon smiled, intrigued. "What else do you see?"
"I see a great view... A big living room. For an apartment that is. Two room apartment. We get the master and it would be set up with the bed in middle and a big TV in front of the bed. A big window to the left of the bed. The room is probably grey..."
"And the other room?" Simon asked.
"Guest room. For friends. You know like Clary and Iz or Alec," Jace explained. "I see food fights. Even though that's cliche. I see dancing. And movies. And a terrace for night sky watching."
"How do We pay for this place?" Simon asked.
"I get money when I graduate. From my birth family," Jace started. "The Herondales."
"Oh?" Simon said. He didn't know about any money.
"I don't tell really anyone," Jace chuckled. Simon nodded. "Anything you would change?"
"Nothing. I love everything about it," Simon smiled. "Mostly because it's you and I in it." He laid his head on Jace's chest. "I love you." He kissed him lightly.
    "Do you?"
"Of course," he said. "Why else would I put up with you?"
"My incredibly good looks and charm," Jace said.
     "Okay. Bambi," Simon laughed.
"I can't believe graduation is coming so soon," Jace sighed. "We've Ben through a lot this year."
"You're telling me," Simon chuckled. "Do you remember when you punched Pangborn in the face one day?"
"Of course. He was dick. And I told you. If anyone ever talks bad about you. They're dead," Jace said.
"You're a real hero aren't you?" Simon asked.
"I'm trying to be," Jace nodded. "No more Mr bad guy."
"Good. I like this you better," Simon shrugged. He traced one of Jace's tattoos.
"Simon!" Elaine's voice was heard downstairs. Simon jumped up and quickly put his clothes on. Jace doing the same. They could hear her footsteps coming closer. "Simon? Are you in here?" She opened the door.
"Hey! Mom!" Simon said. "We really need to talk about privacy here. Knocking... What's up?" He was talking a bit fast.
"I... There's someone downstairs... I think you want to come see him," she looked between her son and his boyfriend with suspicion.
"Who?" Simon asked.
"It's a surprise," she smiled and they followed her downstairs and into the kitchen. The man had his back turned to them, but Simon knew. He stopped in the door way. Jace gave him a confused look.
"Simon," the man turned. He had a smile on his face and wrinkles by his eyes.
"Dad."
Jace's eyes opened wider and he suddenly felt awkward. Simon had told him that his father had left. And his mother told everyone he died of cancer to help her cope. Simon remembered the day he left and it killed him. He blamed himself. Jace put a comforting hand on the small of Simon's back.
"How are you? It's been so long," the man said. "And who is this? You must be one of Simon's friends... I'm Kevin Lewis... Simon's father."
"Jace Herondale," Jace introduced himself with his free hand. Simon couldn't think of words. He was shocked, angry, upset.... He looked to Jace for help.
"Jace and Simon are actually in a very serious relationship," Elaine explained to her husband. "They have been together almost a whole year now."
"Oh," Kevin said. "Well I'm sorry for that assumption. How did the two of you meet?"
"Simon," Jace nudged him to talk.
"School," Simon said sharply. "We met in elementary school. But we didn't get along. He actually dated my best friend. Clary. But obviously it didn't work out. Jace and I plan on living together in college. But, you would know all of this. If you stuck around." Elaine and Jace both looked shocked that Simon had just said that. "You would also know that I am a straight A student. And going to NYU. You would've known that I was gay. How hard it was for me, a Jewish kid, to come out. You would know that I was in love with my bully for six years, but his by dating guys who weren't good for me. But maybe if you stayed. You could've prevented that. Prevented a life full of agony and pain. But you left. Like a coward! Which started all of it."
"Simon," Elaine furrowed her eyebrows.
"No. Elaine it's okay... He has a right," Kevin said. "I did leave. And I want to tell you, Simon... I am so sorry. For causing you pain and not being here for you."
"No! You don't get to say your sorry. You left. Mom became an alcoholic. She only recently got better. Rebecca ran off because she couldn't stand it anymore. You can't just come in, say your sorry and think that everything is fine," Simon said. "Jace let's go to your place... Now." Jace nodded and they left. Simon slammed the door behind them.
"Si, I'm so sorry," Jace grabbed his hand. "I know this had to be hard on you."
"More than hard," Simon sighed. "I hate him."
"I know," Jace gave him a look and turned back to the road. They got the Lightwoods quickly. Clary and Isabelle were in the family room when they got there.
"Hey," Clary smiled. "Did you get your results?"
"Yeah," Simon said. He didn't sound enthusiastic. He sounded angry.
"What's wrong? Was it bad?" Isabelle asked, both girls staring at him.
"No. I got a perfect score," Simon chuckled dryly. They gave him a look to go on. "Guess who showed up from the dead." He gave Clary a look.
"No.."
"My dads back," Simon nodded. She got up and walked around the couch. She wrapped her arms around her best friend. "I yelled at him."
"Good. He deserved it," Clary said. "I'm glad you got to tell him how you feel."
"Me too," Simon sighed. "I can't believe he just came back. No word for over ten years. And he just shows up."
"Let's talk about something else?" Clary offered. "You got a perfect score? That's great. I'm so proud of you."
"Me too," Jace said with a little smile.
"Wait... What did you do to celebrate?" Clary asked.
"They so slept together," Isabelle said. "Look at them. And they have been fighting. Perfect time for a little fun. It's about damn time."
"You guys!" Clary exclaimed. "How was it?" She looked at her best friend. "Great?"
"Of course it was," Jace said. "It was with me." Simon and Clary rolled their eyes. "I'm a gift from the angels."
"Then Clary must be too," Izzy smirked. "Because she's amazing." Clary blushed.
"Okay. A little too much information on my best friend," Simon said. "But, good for you Fray."
"Where's Alec?" Jace asked.
"Should be almost here," Isabelle said. "He had to go get a portfolio. He had an idea for a photoshoot."
"Great. He's been slumped for a while," Simon said. "Raph had said something about it after he was at Magnus'."
"Yeah. He was trying to do something different for once. He didn't want to do the same shit that everyone else was doing," Jace said. "He wants to be different."
"He is different."
"Guys. Seriously. I'm right here," Alec said. "Why are you taking about me?"
"Just excited to see this new shoot," Jace said. "Because were tired of hearing about it."
"Aren't we all?" He asked. "But I can't wait for it to be over with. I think it's going to look amazing."
"All of your work is amazing, brother," Isabelle said. "You just doubt yourself too much."
"Thats the thing about me. I'm insecure. Don't think you've seen this side of me," Alec said. "This is the real me. Anxiety filled, insecure, problematic, gay, nerd."
"Oh my gosh," Simon said. "Hi. I'm also Anxiety filled, insecure, problematic, gay, nerd. Welcome to the club."
"Is that a joke?" Alec asked. Simon nodded. "I know it was. Geez I wasn't raised in a white room."
"Dry humor. I think I'm growing to like you, Lightwood," Simon said. "We have more in common than I thought."
"Okay. There's still a Herondale standing next to you," Jace said.
"I know. I didn't say that I loved him," Simon chuckled.
"You guys are gross," Alec said. "You all say I love you way too much. Has anyone noticed that? Magnus and I have been together for a while and we haven't said 'I love you' as much as you all."
