Hey guys! I know this chapter is seriously overdue and I know that I deserve to have chocolate chips thrown at me for taking so long to upload such a short chapter, and I'm really sorry! I promise to try to upload the next chapter faster!
Okay! On to other things!
This chapter is dedicated to: MysteriousGirl2050 (I hope I got that right, otherwise that would be quite embarrassing -.-') who threatened to throw 'rotten eggs' at people and who has been amazingly supportive and fun to talk to. Thank you so much! ;)
Anyways.. On to the story!

~True realism consists in revealing the surprising things which habit keeps covered and prevents us from seeing.~
-Jean Cicteau
"...After all, you're just a figment of my imagination."
Adrian's eyes widened in shock.
...What? ...Did she just?
He took another glance at her face, taking in the wide grin and the absolutely carefree expression
She did.
This girl, after waking up to see him standing against the wall, after knowing full well that there was no way he could have gotten inside and after seeing the way his form wavered... All this time she had thought he wasn't real?! He had known something was up when, after fainting and waking up to see that he was there in her room, she had treated him like an old friend. He had known that something wasn't right, but he hadn't expected this! Adrian couldn't help it; against his better judgement his jaw dropped open in utter bewilderment.
"You're an idiot aren't you?" He inwardly face palmed. Of all the things to say, he just had to say the first thing that came to mind didn't he? Adrian sighed, making his form flicker like candle light.
"What?" Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she looked at him through emerald green eyes.
"You seriously believe that?"
"What?" A frown pulled her pale pink lips downwards as she stared at him in complete and utter confusion.
He sighed again, running a slightly see-through hand through his wild black hair. "You truly believe that I am not real? That I'm... What? A figment of your imagination?"
"I..." She opened her mouth as if to speak before closing it shut with a click. "Aren't you?" She finally managed.
He walked forward slowly. "No, I don't believe I am."
Her eyes followed his movements warily and Adrian stopped when she took an uneasy step backwards, making his eyes gentle in understanding. "As much as you wish it not so, I am real."
She shook her head vigorously and Adrian watched her hair fly around her small form in lazy interest. "No, you're lying. You're not real. You can't be real."
"But," he murmured, walking forward slowly until he stood in front of her quivering form. He bent down until he knew his almost non-existent breaths were washing over her ear, dropping his voice to a low whisper. "Sweetheart... I am."
He disappeared before she could even jerk in surprise.
