Bai Luo Yin merely snorted, "I've never eaten dumplings that delicious before."

Unperturbed at those words, Gu Hai's abstruse eyes fixed closely at the side of this face. Those tough and robust lines that smoothed out and flowed along his face was strikingly similar to a painting, and the silhouette of these familiar features were drawn to invoke an even more mature and handsome appearance. The only thing that has not changed was that stubborn and unbending mouth of his. Just like eight years ago, the corners of his lips proudly curved upward. As time went on, the intense colours of youth has faded into a soft mature red with a layer of solemness and magnanimous smeared across his lips.

An unraveling feeling gripped at Gu Hai's chest, charming a thought to surface into his mind. He truly wanted to take a bite of those lips just to see what the sweet and mellow taste that sealed it from eight years ago has changed to.

The smoke perversely coiled out and mingled with Gu Hai's breath, creating a thin layer that aimed to fill the room. Suddenly, as the atmosphere around them seemed to have been set ablaze, Bai Luo Yin subconsciously shifted his head to the side, causing Gu Hai to touch the empty space between them instead.

"I'm leaving," said Bai Luo Yin as he stood up.

Gu Hai immediately took hold of his arm while a smile flowed to the corner of his lips, "Let me invite you to dinner today."

"There's no need for that." Bai Luo Yin said, then calmly pushed away Gu Hai's warm hand, "We are not doing business here, so it's not necessary to settle anything."

"Don't say it like that. Even brothers have to settle their debt with each other clearly. Besides, we aren't even blood related."

Bai Luo Yin's neck stiffened, "Today, I......"

"You don't want to take a look at my place?" said Gu Hai, promptly interrupting Bai Luo Yin's refusal.

Giving him a glance, Bai Luo Yin's expressions changed several times, and then he jokingly yet somewhat seriously faced Gu Hai and asked, "Do you want me to see your place or your wedding house?"

"What's the difference?" Gu Hai faintly replied with a distant look in his eyes.

Bai Luo Yin's heart sank as those words pierced through his chest, "There's no difference at all. Let's go."

Gu Hai's new place was in Xīchéng Qū[1], located in central Beijing, and was a little over 100 square meters. Compared to his other place, it was considered to be relatively small but it was more than enough for one person to live in. There was only one bedroom and the largest space was used as the gym. Gu Hai intentionally gave Bai Luo Yin a tour, as expected, everything was comparatively cleaner than his own room. Bai Luo Yin subconsciously glanced at the bed, noting that there were two sets of blankets and pillows.

"When are you getting married?" Bai Luo Yin asked.

Not hearing any response, Bai Luo Yin turned around only to see that Gu Hai was no longer behind him.

He walked over to his work station and looked around for a while before noticing that Gu Hai's personal laptop was on. And, flashing brightly as the screensaver was a photo of two people at the beach. With just one glimpse, Bai Luo Yin froze in place, unable to tear his eyes away as some unknown force tightly gripped his heart, leaving behind feelings that he could not depict. He swayed the mouse left and right in an attempt to escape that photo but in the end, he merely discovered that the desktop background was the same photo.
