I stare at the sky in silence while Yoongi and Jennie continue conversing amongst themselves. Its pencil grey color made the dark clouds look like patches of cotton. The sun was nowhere to be seen, probably hidden behind those dark thick clouds.

"You're texting with her?" I can hear Jennie ask Yoongi almost in disbelief.

"Pretty much." he answers cooly, shrugging slightly and then slipping his phone into his pocket, his eyes looking up at the cloudy sky.

She frowned and crossed her arms over her chest. "Well, you shouldn't."

I didn't really get to hear the rest of the conversation since I didn't find it that interesting and decided to zone out instead.

I didn't feel like going out today at all, but Jennie insisted I did, because we were going to have fun. Unfortunately, it was just the three of us, because Taehyung said he'd swing by later since he was busy practicing the piano.

He's been playing the piano for four years now and he is so talented. Every note or chord he plays, holds a meaning or an emotion. That's what makes him different from most pianists. He pours his heart out when he plays. He even composes his own pieces. I'm always the first person he shares them with and I always share my thoughts with him, regarding his own pieces.

"Chae! Jennie!" I can hear him exclaim as he runs over to us.

I and Jennie stand up and run over to him, Jennie getting to hug him first. I hug him after her and smile, lingering a bit in the his arms, before pulling away.

Taehyung's hugs are always the best. They're so comforting and full of warmth - like a cold winter night spent by the fireplace with a mug of hot chocolate.

"What are you up to?" he asked, smiling brightly as we sit back down on the steps outside of my building.

Jennie shrugged slightly in response. "Just talking." she answered and then got back to her conversation with Yoongi.

I sigh and roll my eyes, staring up at the sky once again. "It looks like it might rain." I remark, trying to start up a conversation with him.

"Yeah, it does." he agrees, looking up at the sky as well. "I was practicing a Chopin Étude just now."

I look back at him, blinking at the unfamiliarity of the word. "A what?" I ask curiously.

"An étude is a short musical composition designed as an exercise to improve the technique or demonstrate the skill of the player." he explains to me as I nod.

"Oh okay." I look back up at the sky, letting out a sigh.

Taehyung looks over at me."You seem sad." he points out.

I give off a small chuckle.

"That's because I'm always sad."
