Murdoc x Russel(Gorillaz)

Chapter 3

"So is Murdoc alright?" 2-D asked as Noodle sat next to him on the couch.

"Yeah, he's doing better now." She said, leaning back.

"What's up with him?" Russel asked as he exited the kitchen.

"He'd rather not have me tell you guys."

"Hmm..." Russel sat down in a chair. "Well, will he ever tell us?"

"Maybe you." Noodle smiled.

Russel raised a brow and got up.

"Where you goin'?" 2-D asked.

"Goin' upstairs."

"For?"

"Just gonna check up on ol' Murdoc. I wanna see if he's feelin' any better."

Noodle and 2-D looked at each other with worried expressions.

Russel calmly knocked on Murdoc's door. "Can I come in?"

"Who is it?" Murdoc asked through the door, his voice sounding weaker by the minute.

"Russel."

Murdoc jumped up and flung the door open. "R-Russ?!"

"Man, why have you been acting so weird lately?"

"Noodle and I figured it out! C-Come and sit on the bed with me, please!"

The two sat down. Murdoc tried to hide his shame and excitement. "Okay, tell me what it is that you want to tell me." Russel said, putting his arm around Murdoc.

Murdoc's face turned red. "Uhhh... I..." Murdoc stared at Russel's arm. "Noodle says I have... A crush... On you..." Murdoc quickly covered his face with his hands.

Russel blushed and moved his arm. "Is that why-"

"It's why I've been acting weird!" Murdoc interrupted him and quietly sobbed.

Russel looked down at his sick friend. "I... I had no idea you liked me like that, man."

"You must hate me more than you already do."

"Murdoc, I never hated you!" Russel put his hands on Murdoc's shoulders.

"You... Didn't?" Murdoc looked up at Russel, tears running down his face.

Russel cracked a small smile and hugged Murdoc. "Maybe we can work things out." He sighed.

"R-Really? Like... A date, or somethin'?" Murdoc sniffled.

"Sure. Like, a small date. Just you and me." Russel fluffed the back of Murdoc's hair with his hand.

Murdoc grinned the biggest grin. "Thank you, Russ." He leaned his head on Russel's shoulder and sighed happily.
