Kaya's POV

Today was the weekend so I was off from school. Tetsuya had something planned for today. But he wouldn't tell me what. That's a little frustrating. I put on a light grey t-shirt. Plus black jeans and black tennis shoes.

I went out and got to Tetsuya and my meeting place. The So Hot Cafe! was right in front of me. I gently pushed open the door. I smiled and got a latte. I sat at the bar. When is Tetsuya going to get here? A song came on and I heard it. That's so... Me.

I kept listening to the song as sipped on my latte waiting for Tetsuya. I looked at the door smiling waiting for him. Wonder when he'll be able to get out of the syndicate. The guys can be crazy. Tetsuya is kind of the housekeeper and babysitter.

Tetsuya came in and ruffled my hair. He had on a dark grey shirt and blue jeans that showed off his eyes. Plus his typical ponytail. I giggled, "Do it again and I'll put it into a braid."

Tetsuya smiled and kissed me on the cheek. The barista a woman in her late twenties came over, "It's sweet. I'm glad to see such a young couple in here."

I smiled, "Thanks, miss." Tetsuya ended up getting black coffee. Hmm... Maybe it's to wake him up more. When we left we were hand in hand.

We don't look like we're from the syndicate... We look normal? Like everyone else? I laughed at my realization. Tetsuya smiled, "What are you thinking about?"

I looked at him, "I'll tell you if you tell me everything that's happening today." He shook his head no. I sighed, "Then you're not finding out." Tetsuya shrugged his shoulder and we kept walking towards who knows what.

I stared at the sign, 'Lillian's Petting Zoo'. I smiled and pulled Tetsuya into a hug. He smiled, "I know you love animals. They have rabbits, dogs, cats, and some birds."

I kissed him on the cheek, "This is a great surprise."

Tetsuya had a light blush on his cheeks. I ended up taking him to see the cats first. They all pretty much surrounded me. But after around 20 minutes we ended up heading to see the dogs. Then after 20 minutes surrounded by dogs, we went to rabbits.

I sat with 4 rabbits crowded onto my lap. Tetsuya laughed, "They sure do love you."

I smiled, "Yeah. I'm glad I love animals." Then after 20 minutes, we went to the birds. One rested on each of my shoulders while a small bluebird rested on Tetsuya's pointer finger.

After 20 minutes with the birds, we washed up our arms to kill the germs. When we went out I interlocked my arm with Tetsuya's. I smiled as he led us around. He's put a lot of thought into it today.

We headed into a small pastry shop. I sat at a table by the window while he went to the counter. He came with 2 strawberry tarts and 2 teas. I smiled, "Thanks. When did you learn all of this?"

He grinned, "I always learned stuff about the girl I love."

I felt my cheeks heat up and I knew I was blushing. That's so sweet. I sipped my tea while I turned my head to look out the window.

He nervously laughed and scratched the back of his head. He smiled, "Kaya you're so beautiful." Are my cheeks the color of my hair yet?

After the pastry shop, he led me to the local animal shelter. He scratched the back of his head, "Want a dog?"

After a while, we picked a black Labrador that was named Midnight. He's already 3 years old. He's already been trained. But the main thing was he was so sweet. Tetsuya paid the adoption fee and for a collar and a leash. We separated as I went to go to Haruhi's and him to go home.

I knocked on Haruhi's door while Midnight sat beside me. I went to knock again, but the door opened. I saw her dad in an orange dress with a white scarf and heels. Plus a big white shoulder bag. He had grown out long red/orange hair.

He smiled, "Oh my gosh, Haruhi! One of your girl friends is here!"

I heard, "What dad?" He dragged me in and sat me in the living room. Midnight laid under the table in front of me.

Haruhi came to the doorway, "Oh Kaya. Hey, it's nice to see you." Haruhi had on black sweatpants and a big blue shirt. They look really different...

I nodded, "Mhmm."

Haruhi's dad stood up and left heading out the door saying, "Toodles!"

Haruhi smiled, "What do you want to talk about?" She sat across from me.

I grinned, "Look under the table."

Haruhi looked and her eyes widened, "There's a dog?!"

I nodded, "Yeah. He's names midnight. We just rescued him from the shelter."

Haruhi petted his head, "Aw that's so sweet." Soon enough I was heading off so I could help home. I mean my main purpose anyway was just for her to meet Midnight.
