Epilogue

It was a bright morning...

The sun just ascending in the morning sky that showed up resplendently with bright orange and red colours streaking across...

She looked up at the cumulus clouds with their subtle movement...

They looked beautiful with the sun lending it's rich kaleidoscopic colours...

Her eyes gleamed with an exceptional luminosity that characterized the glow on her face which was missing for past years...

Her heart was pounding in tandem with her mind that was a ocean of thoughts...

A small figure hugged her tight she saw Saira hugging her tight "Aunt why didn't you join us for dinner yesterday?I and daddy missed you"She pouted and said.

I smile towards the innocent child who from 1 was now 4yrs of age..

I bent down till her height and said"Sorry baby aunty was busy, tonight surely I will join you both"I ruffled her curly hair and said.

Then a blurring image was seen in my living room.

A loud husky voice came"Saira!where are you I told you to wait for me!".

A guy with messed up hair and beard, his painful eyes ,his stressful forehead ,giving away the nights he has been awake.

Bringing a child with a single parent that too a father isn't a piece of cake I could tell...

I has been there from changing her diapers to telling the medicine and making her fall asleep all through webcam and seen Shourya after 3 yrs brought the flood of memories back in my mind...

We smiled at each other to tell how happy we were for each other but our eyes told a different story.

"Aunt where is Vikram uncle"Saira asked.

Oh that guy! Won't leave me for a second must be somewhere keeping an eye on me..he drives me nuts I tell you!

"I am here sweetheart"A masculine voice with a bare chest and blue jeans with his mesmerizing blue eyes and a charming smile looked at me as if I was the only one whom he cared for..

"Your Aunt doesn't leave me for a second Saira"Vikram said and laughed which only he found amusing .

He went towards Shourya to give him man hug..

"Hey,man"Vikram said with a smile.

"Hey"Shourya replied with a lot of effort ..

It was difficult for Shourya to realise I have moved on but he handled with maturity without breaking bones which I am thankful of.

"So ,meet you guys at dinner"Shourya said without meeting my gaze.

"Sure"we replied in unison.

"Let's go Saira we will meet Aunt and uncle at dinner"Shourya took her away..

In all these years I have grown alot of fond of Saira..

Naira is still in jail..

"I need to talk to you for a second"Shourya called me up ,sending Vikram and Saira to the car.

"I need you to tell them both about our past"Shourya said in affirmative.

I looked at him wide eyed and stammered "I don't think it matters..they love us the way we are.."I said hesitantly.

"It matters to them because they love us they do not love the way we are but love the way they interpretated ."Shourya declared with a shine in his eyes  which were lost in the midst of storms ..

"Look she is my daughter I can make her understand, you are my ex now if she got to know it later she might hate me and I will never let that happen.As far as you and Vikram are considered he loves you alot a relationship based on lie will always remain an illusion I know you are afraid but if he really loves you it won't matter to him but you can't assume it he has the right to know"Shourya said and I was surprised the way he has become now..

I remember once he said to me  when he won the case:  you will be proud of me,how I become  calm at ease nature with a practicality and a thick heart which won't let anything affect  his daughter..

Yeah I am proud of him alot...

"I will talk to him,thanks and Shourya I am proud of you"I smiled and tucked the strand of hair on my face..

I could see his eyes dancing with joy he smiled ,nodded then left to talk to Saira..

"Vikram I need to talk to you,look Shourya and I were together for 2years till 12th grade, than we left each other due to misunderstanding actually I left him sorry to hide this from you but I didn't want to lose you.."I said it all in a rush .

Vikram pushed me inside the bathroom and pushed me  against the wall and said"I am happy you told it to me it showed you trust me and really care for me,I don't care he was your past ,we have future together.."

We this he pushed me out of the bathroom and finished his business.

I smiled like a child who won a trophy ,Shourya was right..

I took my bags and keys and went towards Shourya's house to see how it was going.

I heard Shourya shout"Look ,I am sorry Saira I should have told you but I was afraid you will respond this way"I heard him plead outside Saira 's door.

I'll talk to her"Saira look Alisha Aunt came open the damm door!"Shourya shouted with frustation..

She opened the door teary eyed and rushed towards her toys to hide her face..

"You both lied I trusted you I won't ever talk to you ever.."Saira said and sulked .

"Look I can tell you all"

Saira peeked through her toys and looked at me with an inquisitive look all over her face.

I told her how we met leaving the imitate parts of course!

"If you guys loved each other why did you leave each other?"Saira asked.

"I smiled and said"Not all Stars are there to shine not all brightness is there to bright the day,not everyday is filled with Hope..not every ending is a happy ending your goal should be to find the happiness in the ending you get,got it"

She nodded with sincerity

Looking at the starless sky...I think people come into your life to teach you something some to hurt you,leave you,be with you to help you become what you are meant to be..

I was sitting in the cubicle writing my story sipping tea and replying to Vikram text at the same time reading Saira 's letter of her first day in high school..

I love Shourya left footprints  in my heart .those will never erase but some people are not meant to be together bit to teach  you to be strong and leave you..

Vikram was a nice guy I liked him I even like James Bond but still he is an amazing guy always there for me I am in live in relationship with him..

My brother Kabir and Amira got married last year and even Saira and Shourya were there..

Nysa and I am still in touch..
She shifted in New York due to Nikhil's job..

Nakul has a law firm in Sans Francisco ..

I build my own law firm in Italy near Vikram's business firm..
