((Not edited))It was raining in Tulsa. You and Two-bit were in your bed, tangled in blankets as the only thing you could hear was the ping of rain on the house, and relaxed breathing. Two-bit ran his fingers through your hair. You snuggled close to his chest taking in the sent of hair grease, fabric softener and the sent of grass and mud, your window was wide open.
You and Two-bit had agreed on relaxing together for the day. He was surprised when you suggested such a thing. You loved being active and hanging out with the gang, you weren't one to stay still too long. The gang often said you and Sodapop were alike.
Two-bit planted a kiss on your head and held you tighter. You smiled to yourself and got, what seemed impossible, but closer. You heard a knock on your door you sighed and stood up walking over drowsily.
You opened the door, your dad held out two coffee mugs. "Figured you two were up by now. I brought coffee!" He smiled and handed it to you. You smiled and Two-bit stood next to you, your father handed him a cup.
"Thanks dad." You smiled and he nodded walking away. You closed your door and faced Two. "You don't drink coffee, do you?" You said with a smirk taking a sip out of your mug. He shook his head. "Not my thing." He put the coffee mug on your night stand, you set your aside his and wrapped your arms around him.
You took his hand in his and you walked over to the window sitting on an old loveseat. Your dad thought it added "excitement" to your room. Whatever that meant.
You rested your head on twos shoulder and kissed his cheek. "I love the rain so much." You said with a smile looking out the window. "I can tell. You seem very interested." You laughed and rested your hand on his knee. "You're bored, aren't you?" He questioned. You looked up at him and he had a smirk on his face. "Yea" you said laughing.
"Get ready then, we'll go to the Curtis'" He knew you were antsy. 'Relaxing' just wasn't your thing.
You got up and went to your closet. You wore blue jeans, a black T-shirt and leather jacket with white converse. Two-bit whistled, and you blushed and kissed him.
"Stunning, Doll." He smiled and you both walked down stairs.
"We're gonna go to the Curtis'. I'll be back tonight." You called to your parents. Oddly enough, you had an okay home life. The gang said if it weren't for Two-bit, you'd definitely be a Soc. You didn't believe that. You hated Socs with all your heart. The gang didn't really understand what happened at home. Your parents argued a lot, and your dad was verbally abusive towards you and your mother when the boys weren't around. That's why you hated being home.
You grabbed an umbrella and you and two walked out with your hands interlocked. Two-bit was as childish as every, he would step in the puddles a little harder every time he took a step.
"You're like a child." You joked. "How?" He said with a smirk. "Look at you, Keith! You're stepping in puddles like a child." You laughed. He gave you a dirty looked and then started laughing. "What?" You questioned. He stopped and was laughing hysterically.
"I forgot my own name." He choked out between dying of laughter. You began laughing with him. "You're so scatterbrained." You kissed him while you were two were still laughing. You guys catch your breath and began walking again.
You get to the Curtis' house. You were both a little wet since an umbrella for two people wasn't always the best. You walked in and the gang was all glued to the TV. Dal looked over and smiled.
"Hey, Y/n." He lit a cigarette and got up handing it to you. "Is it bad out?" He questioned looking at Two-bit. "Its not great." He nodded and sighed. You handed Dal his cigarette.
"What the fuck Pony!" You heard someone curse. You cocked an eyebrow and looked upstairs. It came from Ponyboy and Sodas room. "What's going on?" You questioned. You walked upstairs and seen the floor soaking wet and Darry with his hand on his head.
"What the hell happened in here?" You questioned. Dar looked over at you. "Ponyboy left the damn window open." Dar said with anger. "So get towels. Its not that bad." You crossed your arms. Soda came up the stairs with a hand full of towels. "And towel boy is here." You said with a laugh. Soda rolled his eyes with a smile and handed them to Darry.
"I ain't cleaning it." Darry handed the towels to Ponyboy. "You guys bicker too much." You laugh and walk back downstairs. Johnny looks at you. "Is Pony getting hollered at?" You shrug. "Not really." You sat down next to Two-bit and Steve on the couch.
"The weathers lousy." Johnny complained. He didn't talk much to the gang at all. He kept his mouth shut for the majority of the time. Since you and Johnny were the same age, you two got along just fine. Johnny could talk an awful lot if he wanted. "You ain't a'woofin"
Two-bit wrapped his arm around you. The gang was well aware of your relationship with Two. They didn't treat you any different, if anything, they treated you with a bit more respect.
"We should go to The Dingo if the rain cools down." Dal suggests. You nod. "I'm starving! The rain better cool." You say. Two-bit laughs. "Doll ya can't wrestle the rain." You laugh. "I sure would if I could."
Everyone paced around and watched Mickey Mouse waiting for the rain to stop. It was starting to slow down around 5, and it came to a complete stop around 7. You jumped up and dragged Two-bit with you. There was a rainbow. You stopped in awe, looking at the sky.
"Its so beautiful." You mumble in awe. Two-bit never understood your fascination with the weather like sunsets, sunrises, the rain etc. Pony did. Ponyboy walked next to you and gasped.
"Ain't it gorgeous Pony?" You smile looking at him. "Sure is." His ears were red. He looked down at the puddles and before you knew it, Two-bit was splashing in the puddles like a five year old. You laughed.
Dal walked past you. You rolled your eyes and called after him. "Dal, you got a cancer stick?" He stopped and looked at you. "Johnnycake might, I don't though." Johnny walked next to you and handed you his cigarette. We started walking to the Nightly Double. Two-bit's feet were soaked. You laughed at him as he seemed somewhat embarrassed.
"We ought to get you new shoes." You said with a smile taking his hand in yours. "I have a pair brand new, just gonna wait til the souls fall of of these." He joked. You rolled your eyes. Your shoes weren't doing too hot either, but they worked.
We got to The Dingo and sat down. Other greasers were there too. You talked to a couple of your girlfriends. They digged the gang real well, especially Sodapop. Girls swarmed on him like honey drawn flies. You walked away from your friends and found Two-bit. He was at the bar drinking a bear. You sat down next to him.
"How many have you had?" He tucked your hair behind your ear. "Only one I'll be having' Dolly." You kissed his cheek. You got two shots, you and Two-bit wrapped arms and took it down. You shook your head. Two-bit laughed. "Can't handle the strong stuff?" You shook your head. "You know that."
We hung out at Dingos until 11, closing time. Dal ended up getting into a fight with another grease over some broad. Dal won, but his mood was definitely corrupted for the night. The night was a success, and in your opinion, the best night in awhile.
