"Thank you." I say aloud as I glance towards his hand that is still placed on my wrist. He follows my gaze and lets go. I look up at the sky, closing my eyes as I reflect. Tears trickle down my face one by one as I think of what happened in the bathroom. I smile, knowing that Xi is here beside me. Opening my eyes, I drop to the ground and sob- placing my head between my knees. Damn. Why was I always crying around him? I needed to stop. This was embarrassing and I bet I looked pitiful to him right now. I couldn't even look him in the eye anymore. He would probably be disgusted. "I'm sorry." I say through my sobs.
"Cheng-Lei." He said before crouching down beside me. His slender fingers glided across my skin as he wiped the tears from underneath my puffy eyes. "Wanna be mine?" I freeze at his words, meeting his eyes. Oh how I loved the daring and fierce look he had on his face. I admired him– the way his golden brown hair shone in the sunlight and his light brown eyes glistened like diamonds. His lips...those plump red lips-- I wanted to kiss them so badly. I wanted him to be mine. I couldn't hold back as I rubbed my hand across his cheek, taking in all his precious features. I didn't wanna miss anything, as my hand glided across his tanned skin. It was so smooth...
"Shit" I said, snapping back into reality. Retracting my hand I looked down and smiled foolishly. "I'm such a fucking clutz,, I'm sorry" he looked at me expressionless before grabbing my chin- bringing our faces closer together. I was face to face with him again- closer than before,, I could feel his breath on my lips. He then moved closer and closer..."My name is Chao Xieng. Don't forget it." He whispered in my ear as his thumb traces over my swollen lips. 'Chao Xieng.' I said it over and over in my head before gigglying quietly. Suddenly his face grew bright red and flustered-- "You look so ugly when you cry. Please don't cry anymore." I hear him say almost inaudibly as he stood up. He looked down at me before picking me up bridal style walking towards the gates of our school."Are we leaving school, Xi?" I asked cautiously. I was afraid of saying his full name aloud,, all of this felt like a dream. He stopped walking and dropped me.
"What the hell?!" I whimpered as my body hit the ground. I looked up at him and groaned as he stared at me with a smirk. "I wanna slap that fucking smirk off your face right now."
"Whats my name?" He asked playfully. I rubbed my head in pain before restating my question--
"Chao Xieng, are we leaving school?" He then nodded his head and laughed loudly,, throwing his head back. I stared at him in awe; my mouth agape and eyes wide as I notice his small eyes turn into small cresents as he laughed. "You're beautiful..." I mumble staring up at him. He stopped laughing immediately, staring into my eyes before bending down next to me. Our eyes connected and I could take in every detail.
"I don't want to forget this" I said as tears began to fall from my already red and puffy eyes. I looked down before cradling my head in my small hands and I swear butterflies erupted from my intestines as he embraced me. He pulled me close and I was soon engulfed in his scent. I felt so comfortable next to him,, and yes I know- sounds stupid but,, he's the only one I've ever wanted to hold me. "I really like you,, you know..." He chuckled and pulled away looking me in the eyes.
"What'd I say about crying? Forget already?" It was almost scary how much he meant to me. I looked down and raised my arms towards him. "Carry me please." I sniffed. Without even hesitating, he picked me up off of the ground, carefully. We then made our way towards the school yard walking towards the school parking lot. I couldn't help but notice how his eyes could go from being soft to serious in an instant. I just want to know him – more. I've been watching him from afar so much-- I just can't believe he's finally next to me. It's only a day and I know tomorrow we won't be like this but today,, just today...."Can you stand?" He suddenly asked me standing in front of a large motorcycle that looked freshly polished.
"Uh, yeah. I think so." I say with uncertainty. He then sat me down gently before hopping onto the bike. I look at him with confusion as he gesturef for me to do the same. I smile lightly before shaking my head slighlty. "No way man,, no"
"Why not?" he ask almost sounding disappointed.
"I've... never done this before." I mumble shyly. Looking down I fumbled with my bloody fingers once more and pout. He was probably mad at me now. His calm voice broke the silence,
"Stop looking down. It just makes it harder for me." I look up in confusion, meeting his eyes.
"Harder? Harder for you? How?" I asked confused.
"It just does okay? You don't get it, do you?" He said before ruffling his hair. His face grew red once again as he bit his lip. "Gosh, you make me crazy, Lei." He mumbled before grabbing my wrist and yanking me onto his bike.
"Wait, stop!" I yell aloud before he grabs my hands and wraps them around his waist. I smiled breifly, giving in quickly before resting my head on his stern back.
"Where do you want to go?" he asked, whilst licking his lips. I grinned before answering simply,
"We don't need a destination."
