Here we are, nearly 4 years after I published the last chapter of this book. And if you, 4 years later still found and read the story until the end, then I really want to thank you. And if you just ended it a long time and have it stored in your library or reading list, well thank you as well.
And the reasons I want to thank you for are the next:
• Well, of course, keeping up with this fandom after 4 years
• Your support to this story since it began
• And actually reading it
Allow me to use this space to vent about somethings that have been on my mind for a quite a time.
I know this story is flawed. A lot. I was 13.
First of all, because English isn't my first language, and I was still in the process of learning it when I wrote this. So sorry for all of those grammatical and spelling mistakes I made.
Another thing that I've been thinking about in these years was how the story actually came out. I got the original idea much before I gathered the strength to decide to make it public, and that idea was utterly different. It didn't include mysterious thieves or teachers, or magical stones. But when I decided I was going to publish it, I realized the idea I had wasn't enough, and didn't match the spirit of House of Anubis. So after giving it some thought, I came out with this plot. If you found any plotholes, sorry for that. Now I see I could've done a better thing.
I'm a reader. I love stories with nice styles. And there you have to forgive me too. Because I hate how I wrote this. And with that I mean the writing style and structure. The dialogue-like writing, I used it because back then I really didn't know how to write the story, and so used what I found to be the easiest way to write. I know it's not the easiest to read.
And the style includes a lot of other things, like the actual quality of the dialogues and descriptions. I learned later that they not only work for the purpose of moving the story, but also to give it form and making it amusing to read. If I read this for the first time, I would probably not like it.
And you may think "hey, edit the story and make it as wonderful as you once imagined it". I would, but I'm a sentimental person and so I feel like I would be changing things they way I saw them back then, plus I don't have too much time.
But in conclusion, thank you. A lot. For reading this back then if you still have it somewhere, for reading it now. For your likes and reads and comments (though these were scarce, I actually wanted to hear more about you). They meant a lot to me when I wrote it and they still mean more. It's wonderful to feel your work is taken in consideration and liked, overall when you yourself don't consider it that way. And forgive me for all the mistakes.
I know I said I was going to publish another story. I actually wrote the first chapter, but time went by and it never became anything more than that. Sorry for that, too.
The years in the HoA fandom were some of the best in my fandom-life, and all of the great people I met there still have a place in my heart, alongside with the cast and all of the wonderful memories. Some things mark our lives at some points, and House of Anubis and its amazing fandom marked mine. Thank you amazing people who shared my friendship back then and who motivated me to share a part of my mind with you all through this story. If you still have this story, thank you.
