More Than Best Friends

Lotte POV...

Akko hasn't exactly been herself lately. It started when she found out her cat had disappeared, she was depressed and wouldn't talk, she would only groan or huff whenever anyone would try to talk with her. She would just mope around and stay inside her room.

But today, I guess Amanda had enough and invited all of us, meaning me, Sucy, Akko, Constanze, Jansminka and Diana, to get some ice cream. Well Diana was actually with Akko, trying to comfort her so Amanda trying to be nice also invited her.

"Akko stop feeling bad about yourself! Now you will either come with us by your own will, or we will drag you the whole way, you pick!" Amanda exclaimed looking at a very tired Akko. Akko only sighed and was about to close the door, but Amanda stepped up and grabbed Akko by the collar. "Dragging you it is."

Poor Akko. She couldn't even fight back, she let herself be dragged by Amanda. This'll be a long day.

"Well then, everyone order." Amanda grinned as she looked at the many flavors displayed behind the glass.

"I'll get butter pecan." I ordered taking out some money, "Do you think they have mushroom flavored." Sucy asked as she looked around. I couldn't help but cringe. Mushroom flavor? "Um, I doubt it." I responded nervously, "How unfortunate." Sucy sighed. In the end she got mint ice cream, in which I also had to pay for.

Amanda ordered chocolate and so did Constanze, Jansminka had ordered a double scoop of chocolate and cookies and cream.

Then it came to Diana and Akko.

"I'll have strawberry," Diana said, then looked at Akko."So what do you want?" Diana asked Akko, Akko only groaned which cause Diana to roll her eyes, "Will you want double scoop or just one?" Akko only groaned in response, "The second flavor?" Diana asked, but Akko groaned again. Diana turned back towards the counter and ordered, "And another one, double scoop, chocolate and mint." Diana ordered. "I swear sometimes you can me so immature." Diana sighed only being responded by a huff of Akko's. "Pardon me." Diana glared at Akko. Akko sighed and took her ice cream from Diana's hand, "I expect to be paid back." Diana said as she paid for both herself and Akko.

Wait. I'm missing the big thing here, Diana understood whatever Akko is saying.

"Can you really understand what she's saying?" Amanda asked as she looked at both Diana and Akko.

"Its not that I understand what she's saying, it more that I know her pretty well, considering we've been friends for less than a year." Diana said taking a bite from her waffle cone.

Yeah right, friends, those two are definitely more than friends if Diana can really understand Akko like that. I mean Akko, Sucy and me have been friends for more that two years.

Akko then hummed with a groan mixed into it. She then handed her ice cream to Diana as she left. "Don't take too long, your ice cream might melt." Diana sighed. Akko then huffed, "Okay then." Diana mumbled as she ate her own ice cream.

"Was this planned?" Sucy asked, "I mean, even if she is talking normally its hard to understand her." Sucy shrugged, "But I find it weird, what you two are doing." Sucy said licking her ice cream.

"Weird? Me and Akko are just good friends I guess." Diana said with a poker face.

"Oh! Ice cream is dripping!" Jansminka exclaimed pointing at Akko's ice cream. Diana quickly started to lick it. "Dude really?" Amanda laughed, "Akko allowed me to, you were here." Diana huffed rolling her eyes. "Um, I don't speak depressed." Amanda grinned.
