Chapter 39

It was the next day. I haven't spoken to Ichigo or any of his family since I left last night. I had no clue how to approach him and apologise for going to far. But I am part of the family, and I can't apologise for that but...I was over-reacting wasn't I? I lashed out because he was worried about his sister. Yes she is technically my sister too but she isn't my real sister like she is to Ichigo. I know how I'm gonna apologise. I look at my clock. It's almost 9am. He should be awake by now. Unless he stayed up late again. 

I decided to go over and apologise to the whole family formally. I went over and as soon as I walked in Isshin was talking to Yuzu about my behaviour last night. And Karin just walked in

"Uh, guys can I speak to you for a moment please?" I made myself visible in conversation. They all looked my way. Isshin answered for me to continue.

"Yeah, sure" I bowed as quickly as I could in front of all of them. They found it weird since I never really listened to Japanese culture. Especially bowing while apologising.

"Im sorry! I'm really sorry for the way I acted last night. Me and Ichigo had a fight and instead of resolving it I brought it to the dinner table. I hope you can forgive me!" It was silent for about half a minute before I heard Isshin sigh.

"(Y/N)...You don't have to apologise so formally. We forgave you as soon as you walked out of that door. But Ichigo was up most of the night trying to figure out how to apologise to you. You should go and talk to him." I stood up straight with tears in my eyes. 'He was up all night because of me?' I excused myself and went upstairs. I walked up to his door and stared at the number 15 plaque hanging on the door for a minute questioning how I should apologise to him for a minute before I finally knocked on the door. There was no answer. I gathered that he was still asleep but before I could move Ichigo opened the door scratching his head his hand was lost in the tangled mess of his orange locks. Once he saw me his eyes opened fully and he couldn't talk. It looked like he was thinking of a way to apologise to me. But before he could I bowed. I wasn't looking at his face but he moved backwards which showed me he was shocked with my actions.

"I'm sorry! I know I'm not officially family and I had no right to say what I did last night! But I'm just trying to help. I know you don't see me as a sister but the girls do so I lashed out when I shouldn't have. So I apologise for taking things to far. Please forgive my actions!" I stayed still in silence once more until he chuckled. I looked up and he started laughing fully.

"Oh my god. I never thought I'd see the day when you'd actually be formal with anyone especially me." I stood up and looked at his laughing figure waiting for him to answer my request. He eventually stopped laughing and started speaking again.

"Honestly as soon as you ran out yesterday I was worried. Then you came to dinner and I didn't want to say anything around our family. I didn't want to bring them into this so I couldn't talk to you. I guess it was the same for you."

"Y-You said our. Our family?"

"Well yeah. You are my big sister after all" He had a massive grin on his face as I ran into him to hug him. I began crying again. We both fell to the floor in a hug. When I looked up I saw Ichigo holding his head in pain and I started laughing letting go of our hug.

"Hey! This isn't funny!" He was pouting about it while rubbing his head trying to soothe the bump that was forming.

"Hahaha. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to push you over that hard. Are you okay?" I asked while giggling.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. That really hurt ya know"

"Sorry" I giggled. We both got up and went downstairs laughing. Once we got down there Yuzu had sparkles in her eyes.
