"Laurel could have been hurt, or worse." Oliver says. Neither of us were very happy about that.
"And I suppose that was Lance's fault." Dig says.
"Your point?" I ask.
"Just that Oliver doesn't really see straight when it comes to Laurel. Or his mother."
"This is not the time to bring this up again."
"Ok. Ok. But there's something I should tell you guys and it's better I tell you now rather than later. I'll be driving Moira around for a few days." We look at him shocked.
"What the hell! You're spying on her?!" I ask.
"Just doing my due diligence. See if she meets with anyone we might be interested in."
"She's not a suspect. She's my mother."
"Which is why someone needs to take a close, objective look at her. Guys, something's going on in this city. You know it."
"Just because the city is corrupt it doesn't mean she's involved." I say.
"Then there's no harm in me driving her around for a few days, is there?"

"Shéngcun." Slade says looking at the map. Shéngcun was written on it."It's Chinese. It means sur--" Oliver starts.
"Survive." Slade finishes.
"What do you think meant?" I ask.
"There's an airfield 10 clicks from here. It's key off this island. Yao Fei and I had been observing it for months, familiarizing ourselves with their operations. We were supposed to get off this island together. But then Yao Fei was compromised, and we got separated."
"Why didn't you tell me any of this?" I ask.
"Because it was quite clear that you weren't going anywhere till you had found your friend." Slade says while looking at Oliver. He had a good point. "Anyways, I think Yao Fei sent you because he knows I can't take the airstrip by myself. Good thing too. Since you're here she'll help." Slade glances at me.
"Sounds like Yao Fei."
"He is a softer judge of character than I am. If you're going to have my back, I need to know you can cover it." Slade looks at me. "Go check the perimeter."
"I just did."
"Well check again. We can't have you interfering."
I growl and grab my weapons. "Don't kill him." I say before walking out.
Starling City
"Thanks for coming. It didn't seem like a good idea to talk about this at your house." Diggle greets me and Oliver."Yeah, it would have been a little awkward for you to explain to my mother that you're spying on her."
"No, man. Awkward part's coming up." Diggle pulls out a recording.
"You bugged her?" I ask.
"Just listen." I sigh and listen.
"It's taken care of. I've taken care of it. Carl Ballard will not be a problem anymore." Moira says.
"Given your propensity for squeamishness, I'm assuming that Mr. Ballard remains in good health." A disorted voice says.
"I made it clear to him persuasively that his plans endangered the undertaking. I didn't have to make the usual threats."
"Excellent. Now, one more matter to attend to. I need you to have the contents of this address removed and disposed of thoroughly. The warehouse where you're storing the remains of "The Queen's Gambit"."
"I already told you, I knew Robert's yacht was sabotaged." I go pale when I hear that.
"I'm sorry, guys. The yacht was sabotaged."
"Someone tried to kill my father."
"And your mother was involved somehow."
"You do not know that she was involved, Diggle!"
"But she did keep it a secret. Why did she do that if she didn't have something to hide?" I ask. Then we hear a phone vibrate.
"Is that...?" Diggle asks.
"Yes!" Oliver answers before answering the phone. "You have the three seconds before I disconnect this line permanently." A few seconds past. I sigh when I see the worry on his face. What now?

I walk back into the plane praying that Oliver is still living. Suddenly a sword comes out. I barely miss it and I duck. I swing my foot and my attackers leg making them fall. I hunch over them, a sword at their neck. I sigh in annoyance to see it's Slade. "Good job." I get up and help him. Slade looks at Oliver who looks shocked. "You wanna be able to fight like that, kid.""How..."
I smirk. ''I've always been a fast learner, Ollie."
Starling City
Me and Oliver meet Lance. "Detective, this better not be another trick. We aren't in the best mood." I warn him."I hate you two. I hate everything you stand for. But this lunatic has my daughter. His name is Cyrus Vanch. Jeez... He'll kill her if he doesn't get to you."
"He'll kill her anyways. So why call us?" Oliver asks.
"It's a pretty tight circle that knows about you and my daughter working together. If Vanch knows, it's because someone at the precinct talked. There isn't anybody else I found trust."
"The mansion he's holed up in is heavily fortified. We were there and we can't take it by ourselves."
"I need your help."
"Then we need yours." Oliver says.
Me and Oliver start killing immediately when we get to the mansion. Soon we get into the mansion and see Cyrus. We both reach for an arrow but we're out. Well, shit. "Lose the bows. Ventilate them." Cyrus orders.
Before anything can happen Lance appears. "My daughter! My little girl!" Lance is about to kill him but Oliver stops him. Instead he knocked Cyrus out.
"We're the vigilantes. You're the cop.''
"That doesn't mean I have to read the bastard his rights, though." Then me and Oliver walk out.
Laurel walks out. "I'll give you a minute." I walk off.
Soon Oliver walks over to me. We start to head back. "Are you okay?" I shake my head and sigh.
"The Gambit was sabotaged and your mom might be involved. No, the last thing I am is okay. But right now that's the last thing that matters. We have other problems."
