Danger's P.O.V
Recap..? Hum, well let's just say that... my mate... is the alpha.
The room I once would have called the office was now completely destroyed..... Yep, I know, totally dramatic for no reason.
"Sorry bout that kitten." My mate whispered, his little pet name for me made goosebumps erupt and spread all over my body again. The two of us were now sitting down in a small dining room. My mate, holding an ice block over his head and looking up at me curiously. I chuckled at him, I've never met an alpha that is so instantly dramatic and protective over their mate.
"What's your name?" He asked, smiling at me. Should I tell him? I mean, my name is unusual.. thought to myself.
'Don't tell him, run now, we can still be free.' Red pleaded, I've never heard her sound so desperate. All my life, she has protested at the idea of having or even finding our mate, I'm not sure why.. she's never really liked the whole concept of staying tied down to one place. Sapphire did of course, his wolf was her other half... Since I shifted, its what she always dreamed about really. Up until recently, I've lived my whole life guided by Red. She, being by far the strongest part of me. Red is... uncontrollable, independent. Red always gets us all out of harms way... always protects us and helps us avoid many other potentially dangerous, supernatural species.. But now its my turn..?
'NO.' Sapphire boomed in my head, Erasing any chance of leaving.
"Hello... little mate?" my mate asked, waving his hand in front of my eyes. I blinked and looked up at his handsome face.
"Sorry...... My n-name is Danger." I said, stuttering, hardly remembering his question. My mind was thinking about two different things at once. If you can't already tell, I can't multitask well.
"Danger.." he said, the word rolled off his tongue and out those perfect lips, I love it. It made my insides heat up and goosebumps spread across my body, for the millionth time today. I blushed and looked away from him, trying to hide my embarrassment. My mate grabbed my chin gently and pulled me onto his lap and snuggled his face into the crook of my neck, breathing in my scent. His touch sent sparks all around each area that made contact. This new found feeling was addictive. He made my heart beat like nothing else ever had before... Made me feel safe like nothing else had before.
"Don't hide your thoughts from me okay?" He asked, his voice muffled as he talked into my neck. We made eye contact again as I looked at him, a blush still present on my cheeks. I slowly nodded at him, my blush deepening and my ears turning hot. God I'm such a mess.
"What's your name?" I asked quietly, changing the subject. Trying to get his attention off my reactions.
"Ace." I nodded, I was about to ask another question when the Beta, Ben, walked into the dining room.
"Alpha... Luna." He said bowing his head in respect at us, "Rouges were sighted near the Eastern border." he said urgently, looking at Ace, who was now looking back at his beta.
"Ok." Ace nodded, then sighed, looking at me with trusting eyes.
"I've got to go now kitten, sorry to cut our introduction short. Can you stay here? Hopefully I won't be long." Ace said, with a small smile on his face. I nodded and got off his lap. I shivered at the loss of contact from him, my wolf and body urned for his touch again as he got up from the chair and moved further away from me.
With one last look, Ace turned and left with Ben leaving me in the dining room ... alone ... in a huge pack house... Great.
Ace's P.O.V
'She's beautiful.' my wolf sighed lovingly.
'Yes, she is.' I replied quickly as Ben and I walked out of the room. I missed her touch already. As left the house, we ran full speed towards the eastern border. The touch of my mate still lingered on my skin and her scent in my nose. I relied on Ben to show me the way as I couldn't help but only think about Danger.
I was snapped out of my thoughts as we approached a dozen rouges pacing around the border of my territory. Ben and I watched from a short distance as they allegedly searched the area, sniffing the ground as if their life depended on it. As they were distracted we took this opportunity to shift back to our human form, making sure to dress in some shorts before confronting the small group. I looked over at Ben, who nodded back at me. I took a deep breath and stepped out into view of the rouges. Ben just behind me.
"What are you doing here mutts?" I snarled, venom lacing my words. They looked up at Ben and I, startled, before they quickly got into a defensive position. The biggest wolf among them shifted and laughed at Ben and I.
"Calm Alpha, we're only looking for a girl, around the age of 18, she was passing through the nearest town a few days ago, we're simply looking for her. Have you got or seen her?" One of the rouges asked, mocking my title.
'They want our mate...' My wolf growled dangerously.
"No we haven't." Ben interjected, quickly looking at me, sensing my wolfs anger at the inquiry. I sent him a thankful look before focusing back onto the small group of rouges.
"Well if you see her, tell her, no matter how far or fast she runs, he will always find her." The same rouge said, before shifting back to wolf form and leading the small group away from the border. I growled as we watched them Why were they looking for Danger? She's beautiful, completely harmless. Why do they want MY mate.
"Do we follow them?" Ben asked, looking at me with concern. He was on full alert.
"No, leave them, if they come back... Then, they'll be punished..." I trailed off, Ben nodded. What's Danger's past? I should ask her when we get back. As true two of us walked through the dense forest, I felt a slight wave of fear wash over my whole body. Trying not to alert Ben, I quietly scanned the area around us, nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary..
Everything seems fine? I said to myself somewhat reassuringly. But as we continued to walk, I realised it wasn't my fear I was feeling, it was my mates.
'MATE!! Go to mate!!' My wolf yelled frantically in my head as we recognised her emotion. And he didn't have to say it twice, I was already running.
