Chapter 4: My Story

Danger's P.O.V

I took a shaky breathe as I looked at my surroundings. Darkness, above and below, everywhere I turned, it was all I could see. Where am I? As a child, I remember being completely terrified of the dark, still am a little. Never really got over that childhood fear. The memories of what happens in the dark, at night, had always haunted me and still do from time to time.

'I want our mate...' Sapphire whined, pacing around at the back of my head. I felt Red mentally roll her eyes at the comment. As I sat, feeling overwhelmed by the nothingness around us, I frowned as a thought popped into my head.

"Why don't you want a mate Red?" I asked, curiously. She'd never given any of us a legitimate reasons why she didn't want one.

'I feel as if, with him, we can't be free, we're.... restricted with what we can do. I don't want to be bossed around. I don't want to be compared to every other 'perfect' fucking Luna in every other pack. We are who we are, I don't want to change myself for him, certainly don't want you guys to change either.' She replied hesitantly, 'As much as I hate to admit though... I do like him, I like the way he called us kitten.. The way he makes me feel despite knowing him for what? An hour? I don't know, but i swear to god if he dare tries to boss us around, he's got another thing coming..'  She finished, her emotions slipping through our link. Her did answer make me smile though. Won't catch me submitting to that Alpha.

'Calm down Red.' Sapphire chuckled. Silence engulfed the room as I got caught in my own thoughts again. Thoughts of Ace, what finding him meant for us.. For him. God what a mess my whole life has been, am I even ready for this?

"I want to wake up." I stated, trying to bring myself out of my own anxiousness. We all sigh in agreement, although all having our own reason to want out of whatever this place was.

--Ace's P.O.V--

I sighed as I studied my mate, laying on the hospital bed in front of me. Tingles spread through my arm as I took her cold hand in mine and gently squeezed it. She's been out for 3 days.. But its felt like eternity. Doc said she could be in a coma for a few weeks. I sighed, my stomach flipped and churned at the thought.

'Shes going to be just fine,' My wolf suddenly yipped in my head, mentally prancing around happily. ' I was able to reach her beautiful wolf.. They should wake up soon.' My wolf, Vince finished. He stopped prancing around, returning to his thoughts, leaving me absolutely baffled.

"How did you talk to her wolf when their unconscious?" Despite feeling a little confused, relief flooded my body, making me feel a little less anxious about the situation.

'Did anyone tell you that, curiosity killed that cat?' Vince chuckled in my head, I did too as I frowned.

"Firstly I'm not a cat and secondly, answer the damn question."

'Well, technically, I didn't talk to her wolf... But I can just feel them. Feel them getting better and regaining consciousness.' He whined. Right on queue, I suddenly felt my mates hand twitch in mine. With my heart skipping a beat, listened closely and was able to hear Dangers heart beat increase ever so slightly. Excitement filled my body as I watched my mate slowly open her eyes. She blinked a few times, adjusting to the light in the room, before looking around the room. As her eyes met mine, I felt a sudden burst of energy within me and before I could stop my wolf, he pulled our mate into our arms.

"Danger are you ok? What happened? Do you feel any pain?" I asked, regaining control, but not daring to let go. As she leaned into my embrace, tingles spread through out my body, my wolf purring in happiness.
