Its now Thanksgiving day. Both Imani & Chris' family were in town from Wednesday-Sunday. Since Chris has room he let them all stay there instead of getting a hotel

Imani's POV

I'm in the kitchen helping my mom & Chris' mom cook. My sister & Chasity are in here too. I have on an oversized sweater hiding my situation cause we got a reveal cake for dessert along with all the other traditions

"Imani why you got that hot sweater on. Girl this ain't Cleveland its still like 65 degrees outside," Nikki said

"I'm not complaining so why are you," I said tasting the cake batter me & Amari was mixing

"Auntie, stop eating the mix before we have none left to bake," Amari said taking the bowl from me mixing it

"She needs to stop eating all together. She already looks like she's gaining weight," Nikki said looking me up & down

"Shut up, you always gotta start stuff," I said rolling my eyes at here getting the cake pan

"Child there you go with that eye rolling. I done told you about that," my mama said putting the dressing /stuffing in the oven

"Chasity acts the same way. I think its something with the youngest that give us the most trouble & attitude," Mrs. Woods said stirring the pot of greens

"I do not give you no trouble. That is all Khalil & Chris. I'm an angel. You can see my halo," Chas said looking up from her phone

"Girl bye that ain't a halo, those are horns," I joked & she looked at me with a straight face

"Not funny Imani. I thought we were better than that, but I guess not huh" she said

"You know I love you boo," I said hugging her from behind kissing her cheek

"Hey, no sorry but that is my auntie," Amari said pushing us apart. I swear she don't like when I hang without people but that's my baby too

"Amari stop being jealous. Your auntie got a new love. She don't mess with us like that no more," Nikki said

"Don't say that Nikki. Amari you know you're my favorite niece & I love you," I said hugging her tight

"She's yo only niece dummy," Nikki said

"Nikki cut it out & dinner should be ready in about an hour," my mama said

"Is Mike & Shaye coming over for dinner," Mrs. Woods asked

"Yea, I gotta see that baby. I heard she was gorgeous," my mama said

"She is, but they said they will stop bye later. They were going to Shaye's parents house, then probably to Mike's moms house first ," I said licking more cake batter that spilled on my finger cause I was hungry man

"So what is this special announcement you & Chris gotta tell us," Mrs. Woods asked

"Ya'll gotta wait until dessert to see," I said slipping the cake in the oven

"It better be something good & not a waste of time," Chas said texting away on her phone

"Right," Nikki said

We sat in the kitchen talking until the food was done. We got everything into serving dishes & set the table up & prepared to eat
