Chapter 79

I'm skipping to May. The Woods moved to Georgia. Imani is 8 months pregnant now. Mike gave his dad the money for rehab but he hasn't heard from him in a while. Meka dropped Mikey & his stuff off at Mike's house one night & just left. Now its Kai's first birthday so Shaye & Mike are having her a party in Mike's backyard & everybody is over there

Shaye's POV

"Mommy," Kai whined for me to pick her up

"You are a spoiled brat little girl. Stop crying that's not cute. Its your birthday party so you gotta stay cute so everybody can see you," I said picking her up wiping her eyes, but she laid on my shoulder. Her new thing is sucking her thumb

"How old is sister now mommy Shy, Shy," Mikey asked sitting across from us

"She is a year old now. She almost a big girl like you're a big boy," I said rubbing my hands in his hair. Mike's not cutting it cause he said he wanted to let it grow out some, but he's still cute cause he got a line up

"Where am I putting this big ass cake that's not gonna get eating all," Mike asked holding Kai's cake. It was a number one at the top with cupcakes all around 

"I want some cake. Can we eat it now," Mikey asked

"Not right now pooh later. I want it outside, but its hot out there. I don't want the icing to melt so put in on the dining room table for now," I told him with Kai on my hip. She's sleepy cause she woke up early. Ya'll know I was shouting & yelling cause its her first birthday. I had to be all extra

"Do you need anything else for this party, that she'S not gone remember," he asked sitting the cake down then looking at me cause I had him running everywhere this morning for last minute things

"I need you to go pick up some candy for the goodie bags & piñata. then set them chairs & tables up like I asked you this morning," I told him

"Ok I can only do one thing at a time. I'll do it soon as I get back. Mikey are you going with me or you're staying here," Mike asked him

"I'm going with you," he replied even though he still had on pajamas. Will get him dressed when they come back 

"Come on & comb my daughters hair & get her dressed. Its her party so she gotta look better than all the other kids. I want her to wear her new Jordan's," he said kissing her cheek but she swerved him turning her head the other way  

"She don't want to be bothered with you. I already know what she's wearing & that's not it," I told him

"Well we gone change that, but come on Mikey. We gotta get you fresh when we get back too," Mike told him

"Daddy I'm always fresh," Mikey replied & we both laughed

They left to do what I told them, then he came back to set everything up. I got the kids ready for the party. Kai had on a pink & white little dress & some white sandals. My mom & mama Renee came over with the food & people & their kids started showing up

"Damn Imani, you got even bigger over night," I said as Imani sat in the chair by me

"Shut up, I know I'm so ready for this month to be over with so I can have this little girl," she said rubbing her huge stomach outta breath & I know the feeling

"You know I was like that too. But look it's been a whole year already. I don't want my baby to grow up," I said frowning

"I know my baby Kai is so cute. You don't want her to grow up because you know she's gonna be just like yo evil ass. She let you sit there while you put all those ponytails in her hair," she asked cause Kai had a head full of hair already so I did the little ghetto hair style with all the bobos & barrettes
