Zane's POV

I felt responsible for everything. My dear brother Garroth had beat Cyan into the ground and I did nothing absolutely nothing! Cyan could have broken all the bones in Garroth body because from what Lucinda told me Garroth's curse had magically enhanced him. Hurray for magical enhancement. After we got Cyan to the hospital Lucinda took Garroth to... I don't actually know where... but she said he'd be further evaluated by other witches. Kawaii~chan sat with me in my bed and I felt it was kinda hard to restart the conversation we were having before this "Zane~kun." Kawaii~chan said looking at me seriously "y-yes?" I said nervous for what might come next "do you like me?" She said looking me in the eyes "uhh." I said blushing "I want you to answer that truthfully Zane..." Kawaii~chan said "I.... yeah I do."I said looking down "you really do?" Kawaii~chan said looking at me "yeah.." I said twiddling my thumbs "I'm sorry Zane." Kawaii~chan said looking away "for what?" I asked "I-I don't feel the same..." she said "I didn't expect you too." I said sadly "Kawaii~chan has to go now..." she said leaving "yeah me too." I said following her out. I went to the hospital to check on Cyan as I had gotten a call before my "talk" with Kawaii~chan. Once at the hospital I checked in and walked to Cyans room. "Anybody home?" I asked peeking into the room. I got no answer. "Uhhh Cyan?" I asked stepping in. In the room Cyan was asleep, several sensors attached to him, the monitors showing stuff that I didn't recognize. A doctor stood next to the bed writing something on a clip board "oh! Mister Ro'meave!" He said pushing up his spectacles "please come stand by me!" He said motioning for me to come over "okay then." I said walking over to stand next to the doctor "so um what's up?" I said putting my hands in my pockets "may I ask if mister doe is a werewolf or Mei'fwa?" He said looking over at me "no." I said "that's.... how do I say this?.... uh weird!" He said pushing a button on one of the monitors "why?" I asked "mister doe here has barely sustained any damage from the beating he took earlier." The doctor said scribbling something on his clipboard "is that bad?" I asked wondering why this was a problem "no but it's weird. His bone structure seems to be thinner and lighter than all of the hospital patients in record yet more durable than all of them combined!" The doctor said getting excited "so is this like a medical marvel or what?" I asked looking at Cyan's sleeping face "something like that." The doctor said pulling out some papers from a file he had clipped on the clipboard "then what is it?" I asked getting confused "it's not just his bone structure it's his biology itself along with his DNA." The doctor said filing through the papers "his DNA resembles something like a werewolf or a mei'fwa." He said handing me a paper describing the difference between human and werewolf or mei'fwa biology "except there is no wolf or cat DNA in his body. It resembles more of a fox." He said putting the clipboard down "also his wounds are healing 90% faster than any other A-grade medicine in the world." He said looking at me "and this is all news to you?" I asked "yes! We have never ever seen something like it!" The doctor said "so what are you going to do about it?" I said sitting down in a chair that was near the wall "I don't know. He may be subjected to experiments! He already has but they were just sensors and stuff like that." The doctor said walking towards the door "oh." I said sighing that's what all the monitors were for "I'll leave you here, you may leave when ready." The doctor said closing the door behind him "okay" I said standing up and walking over to Cyan's bedside. His name tag read John Doe with a bunch of medical stuff I didn't understand "hey." I heard Cyan say "your awake!" I said I'd talk to him about his DNA later "yeah. I'm okay, thanks for asking!" He said chuckling "oh yeah sorry." I said sheepishly "how's Kawaii~chan?" He asked cracking a smile "I told her how I felt..." I said a frown appearing behind my mask "and?" He said "she didn't feel the same." I said sniffing "oh. That's too bad." He said his smile disappearing "yeah." I said uncomfortably "I'll talk to her for ya." He said poking a sensor attached to his heart "okay then." I said grateful that I wouldn't have to do it myself "so John Doe huh?" I said looking away "yeah. I don't really exist in the documents." He said sadly "so no one knows your a real person?" I asked him lifting up my eyebrow "no. That's why I learned how to do the stuff I can do." He said nodding "martial arts?" I asked "yeah. And magic." He said "magic?" I said taking a step back he learned magic! "Yeah. My real magicks are just like little tricks I can do. My magic is more focused on distraction and entertainment." He said "so you learned real magic." I asked him "yeah. I learned it. I couldn't do flips and magical appearances before." He said "hey Cyan." I said eager to change the subject "hmm?" He hummed "how are you going to get out of the experiments?" I asked "I'll use magic to erase the fact that I was ever here." He said getting up and picking up a small plastic bag "oh." I said "yeah you should leave or you'll forget as well." He said walking into a bathroom "okay then." I said walking out the door I have way to much to think about...
