A Million Miles Away
It feels like it's been forever
Since I held you in my arms
But soon we will be together
So I'll try to remain calmI'll shed a tear for you
every once & awhile
Reminiscing all that we've been through
Photographs of your beautiful smile
Remind me of the beauty that's in youTime passes by
like the fallen leaves
in the Autumn breeze
I close my eyes
to the sound of rain
I Imagine you & I under blue skies
My heart burns like a red flame
Lucent & candescent
Flowing like lava inside my veins
And I can hear your soft voice
whispering my nameYou are there
And I'm here
A million miles away
I watched the fleeting clouds
Move across a Scarlett sky
I saw the sailing winds
sweep an ocean by
My love for you will never die
Burning out brighter
then the northern lightsI'm like an ancient lighthouse; broken & torn
standing all alone
waiting for the rising dawn
On the edge of the unknown
I'm like a ruined castle
standing through the ages
broken & fragile
Waiting for my Queen to return home— Gary Griffiths
