A Million Miles Away
It feels like it's been forever
Since I held you in my arms
But soon we will be together
So I'll try to remain calm
I'll shed a tear for you
every once & awhile
Reminiscing all that we've been through
Photographs of your beautiful smile
Remind me of the beauty that's in you
Time passes by
like the fallen leaves
in the Autumn breeze
I close my eyes
to the sound of rain
I Imagine you & I under blue skies
My heart burns like a red flame
Lucent & candescent
Flowing like lava inside my veins
And I can hear your soft voice
whispering my name
You are there
And I'm here
A million miles away
I watched the fleeting clouds
Move across a Scarlett sky
I saw the sailing winds
sweep an ocean by
My love for you will never die
Burning out brighter
then the northern lights
I'm like an ancient lighthouse; broken & torn
standing all alone
waiting for the rising dawn
On the edge of the unknown
I'm like a ruined castle
standing through the ages
broken & fragile
Waiting for my Queen to return home
