POST 6-I'M MOVING ON

August- Trinity there is nothing I want more than to wake up to you and Lennox every single day. I don't give a shit what anyone is says. I'm my own man. If I want to do something that isn't going to hurt someone else... I will do it.

I wanted you and Lennox to be there from Day one. I'll admit, I was scared to tell you that. I didn't want to scare you away. I don't give a shit about your circumstance.... I want to see you win. So I began preparing for you two to be in my home... I prayed every night asking God, to make it possible.

You proved yourself to me by coming to work every single day and doing your best. Never asked me for anything more that what you needed to make that happen.

I'm not sure if Lennox's daddy was blind or slow, but I'm glad he was... Cause I would have never been able to show you what a real man does.

We pull up park and make it inside... he takes Lennox out and gives him a bath... puts on a fresh pamper and night clothes afterward. He walks around singing to him until he falls asleep.

I'm sitting at the table with my head down.

August, Trinity you alright?

I'm good, and thank you for the kind words in the truck. Is Lennox, sleeping.

August- yeah...

I'm going to take a shower, may I have a towel?

He pulls one from the linen closet and brings me one of his t shirts and boxers...

I shower for 25 minutes and come out to find August on the phone on the couch. I don't care mom, that isn't how you treat anyone but especially a friend of mine. So what he isn't mine, we don't all have the same father, but you raised us. Ma, just kill it, get used to seeing us as a family or not at all your choice. What?

She is not some girl off the street. I've known her since the second grade.

August, hangs up the phone after a few more back and forth with his mom. He walks down the hall to find me in the room checking on Lennox. He was standing in the doorway staring at me. Damn, she looked amazing he says to himself.... shirt tied in a knot at the back and the boxers just baggy enough to spark his imagination. Her hair in a top knot....

I turn around and catch him staring at me. I pad over the carpet and kiss him on the lips.... I raise my hands to go around his neck and kiss him deeply.

August ummmmmm kissing me back... don't tease me, I could get used to this...

I say good, there is plenty more where this came from... I give him one last peck.

He goes into the shower and then meets me in the bedroom....

I'm on my knees praying. I feel him touch my back and takes my hand... He prays along side me. my stomach feels warm, the butterflies are back just like when we ran into each other in the store.

We finish and kiss before getting in the bed.

I'm laying there scared shitless....

August- Trinity, why are you shaking like a leaf girl. I'm not going to bite you.

I'm not worried about that...

August oooh word, not worried.

August pulls me tight with one snatch. You should have nothing to worry about when you're with me.

I don't want you stressing. What do you need brought over here from the apartment?

I said Lennox's stuff and I have a bag of clothing that's it. Everything else stays.

He says where is the rest of your stuff. I don't have any stuff.

August okay love, we'll grab it in the morning.

I fall asleep and wake up to breakfast in bed. Lennox, was laying next to me...

Enjoy your breakfast.

I eat my cheese omelet and then nurse Lennox......then get up and put him in his crib so I can take a shower. I come out and get dressed.

August you ready?

I sigh as I'll ever be.

We get to the shelter and all the girls seem to be out for some reason or anogher with their kids.

Tabitha is right there when I sign in. TRINITY IN MY OFFICE.

I shake my head what did I do now?

Tabitha out all night for starters... I said I have a pass and it doesn't matter anyway. I'm moving out...

I did I say. Now, if you'll excuse me. We go one by one taking the few belongings that I owned to August's truck. Tabitha says you'll be back soon enough.

I said lucky you, you get to come back tomorrow.

August, hands me Lennox and opens the door for me and grabs him and straps him in

He gets to my door and opens it and kisses me before closing it.

We pull off. I cry unexpected tears. August, grabs my hand.... it's okay.

I cry off an on all day long as I walk around in a daze.

August comes in the room kissing me on the neck. Listen, why don't you go out and treat yourself..

I shake my head no. August, says this is your first night out without having to report back in the morning. I want you to celebrate.

tomorrow. right now I just want to curl up and sleep....

August okay, I got lennox unless he needs you.

kisses my lips and rubs my face.

Thank you. I literally fall asleep in the 10 minutes August is in the living room. He comes in and wakes me up. Your phone is ringing.

I roll over surprised to see the word asshole on the screen. It's Jalen....what the fuck does he want? ugh....
