This story is MY version of the ending to Marissa Meyer's novel Heartless.I love this book, so as not to make the ending as heartbreaking as it really is.. I decided to write my own end.
Prologue
I want to clarify a few changes i put into the story.
1) Jest sacrificed himself by putting himself between the ax and Cath to save her life.
2) Peter died. He was chased by Raven into the forest right after killing Jest. He got cornered at a cliff and so as to not face being executed like a criminal he jumped off the cliff.
3) This is the interesting one: The sister's prophecies can change. They can even change real life, if paid a big enough price. This is what enables us to put a different ending.
Another thing I thought you should know is that a week and a half has passed since the encounter and Jest's death.
