Chapter 10: The meeting
Yivi's mom P.O.V
"Order! Order!" The jury smacked the wooden hammer down.
All of Yivi's relatives were here. I miss my only little girl. She's been away from me for 7 seven years! I miss her so much....
"Miss Silva? Will you be the honor telling me about your daughter Yivi?" The jury asked.
I stood up and said my speech,"My precious daughter, Yivi Silva, at the age seven we let her go because of the war... Now, she's probably thirteen-going-on-to-fourteen. She has dark brown hair, chocolate brown eyes that shine, perfectly tan skin and has the most beautiful smile..." Tears were streaming down my cheeks. I wonder how she looks now.
My husband rubbed my shoulders and sat me down. The jury took a piece of paper and put it in my stuff.
It's a picture of Yivi! At the age
thirteen!
"Is this her?" The jury asked.
"Yes, yes! It's is! My beautiful daughter is okay!" I cry.
"She's been taken already but you guys can have her back. Just sign applications and we will call the adopter to send her to where she belongs."
"Thank you," my husband said as he hugged me.
We're getting our daughter back!
Tom's P.O.V
"Breakfast is ready!" Dean yelled.
I woke with Yivi in my arms. Her sleeping body was very calm and peacefully.
"Yivi? Sweetheart? Wake up." I kissed her forehead lightly.
Her eyes fluttered open and a smile appeared.
"Morning,"
"Morning." I say back.
She gets off of me and runs to the bathroom.
"Tom?" I heard Jenny.
"Yes Jenny?"
"Take her out somewhere.... Like Paris!"
"Paris? Jenny, you know there are bad people how take American girls, right?"
"I know, but you guys have each other. It's not gonna be like you leaving her...Right?"
"Right."
