Its been 4 years now and I live a happy life. I have my very own store now for weddings or prom, stuff like that. Payge, my daughter is 4 now. She goes to school and is the smartest little girl I know. She was on her summer break. And Quan, the guy who helped me from the crash, lives next door to me. We are great friends now. But his girlfriend Porsia and I are even closer.

We talk on the phone day and night just gossiping, or telling secrets, or just listening to each other's problems. Payge even calls her auntie. Payge stays with her when I go to work or when she thinks I need "time off" is what she calls it. I work two jobs. At my store and at Charlie's dinner.

"Alright its time for b-" I stopped in my sentence once I saw her. All bundled up with a marker in her hand. One thing about her is she can draw like crazy. Her work is so neat and beautiful at least when she wants it to be. She was fast asleep. She is to much like her dad. Sleeps like him, has his hair color, blue eyes but brighter, and doesn't smile. How does a child not smile!

I walked to her bed and pulled the cover over her then kissed her cheek. "I love you," I said before walking out. I huffed than plopped on the couch. Only to have to get back up because someone was knocking on the door. I groaned and stomped to the door and swung it open harshly.

"God I thought you'd be happy to see me since I bought nail polish, ice cream, other junk foods, and movies but never mind i"ll leav-" before she finished her sentence I yanked her arm making her stumble in my house and slammed the door.

Porsia, Porsia, Porsia... always make my night... and day. So what we watchin?" I said, exhaustion clear in my voice.

"Well since your stressed out and single, we could watch The Originals and fantasize over the boys on it.... but don't tell Quan is the price."

"Deal."

I raced to the couch while she put the CD in and joined me.

A few hours later

"Why I love Fridays," she exclaimed.

"Actually," I lifted up my arm to my face to see my watch. "Its 12:56 so TECHNICALLY its Saturday."

"Okay smart ass," she laughed out.

"Oh! Ugh, I forgot I have work today."

"Ooh can I watch Payge?"

"You sure?"

"What the hell kinda question is that, gurl! Of course and you already know I will anytime."

"You have no idea how much I thank you and love you."

"Bring it in bestie."

I touched my heart with a pout and hugged her. I love this girl so much. She is my best friend. We pulled apart after like 10 minutes then resumed watching the next episode of The Originals.

"NO KLAUS IS BEHIND YOU, LOO- got dammit you dummy!" Porsia yelled.

"Shhh I have a daughter who loves her sleep!"

"Ohh," she said as she giggled. "I'm sorry."

After that I don't know what happened.

I woke up to Porsia laying right next to me but her feet were in my nose. I snatched my face back quickly. "Blah!" I said quietly. I crawled around Porsia and went to Payge's room. "Still sleeping, my little princess," I whispered. Then went back downstairs to the kitchen to find Porsia with pizza rolls in her mouth. "Do you always eat my daughter's stuff?"

"Welp spe doppent jdee dom!"

"What"

She took her sweet time to chew and swallow the food. "She doesn't eat them," she repeated.

I rolled my eyes then grabbed the plate she had and put it in the dishwasher. Soon enough Payge came down. "Hey mom, hey auntie Porsia. Are there anymore pizza rolls?" she asked. I look at Porsia. Secretly murdering her with my glare. "Well I just make a pj sandwich."

"You need help sweety?"

"Can you get the peanut butter up there," she said as she pointed to the cabinet high up. "I'm short mommy."

I pout when I try to reach the cabinet but fail. "Looks like i'm also short"

"Oh move midget," Porsia said as she pushed me out the way and handed Payge the peanut butter. Payge gave Porsia a thumbs up and ran back upstairs.

"She's gonna eat the whole jar of peanut butter isn't she?" Porsia asked.

"Yep."

We both huffed. "Well I have 1 more hour so i'm gonna take a shower and get dressed," I said. Porsia nodded while looking up the stairs.

"Ill call Quan," she said finally walking off. I took a 10 minute shower , put my  clothes on, blow-dried my hair, then put it in my signature bun. I went up to Payge's room to find her scooping a spoon of peanut butter.

"I love you and be good for auntie Porsia."

"Always," she said and kissed my cheek. Then I ran down stairs then left out the door after yelling bye to Porsia.

As I entered the diner it was packed. I raced to the back and saw my friend Cassella. "Heyyy." she said cheerfully. I smiled then looked at my boss who was freaking out.

"Whats wrong with Charlie?"

"He got into something with some kind of businessman. Well he owes them money and they are coming to....visit you could say."

"What does that mean?"

"They want to see the diner if they decide that its good use, Charlie will lose his diner and that will be his debt paid. But only IF its good use to them. But you know what this diner means to him. He doesn't know what to do," Cassella said.

"Oh," was the only thing I could think to say. Charlie came over to where me and Cassella was and stared at us. I honestly felt bad. I've worked at this diner for the longest of times. This was the only thing he had left of his wife.

"Okay, um so this is probably the last time you'll be here. And if not it will be the last time you will see me. Um Cassella I need you to take the orders of that family over there. Go, now," he said. Cassella gave me a 'good luck' look and jogged to the table.

"Zeonna, you are my best worker here. Always know that. I will miss you. All of you," he stopped his sentence once he heard the door bell thingy ring. Letting him know someone has entered. Then his eyes went wide with fear. I knew he favored me. Before his wife died, me and her grew very close. She considered me family then cancer interrupted everything.

"I need you to take the orders of the people that just came in. Table 4. I... need to handle some paperwork," then he dashed in his office. I shrugged and went to table 4.

"Welcome to Charlie's diner. May I help you" I said looking at my notebook ready for their orders.

"Where is your boss?"

I think these were the people Cassella were talking about. I kept my eyes on the floor. That was the only way I could get away with a lie. "I wouldn't know."

"I don't like being lied to,"

"Excuse me, sir but you know-know nothing about me and if I were lying. So i'm sticking to my answer. I wouldn't know!"

From my best angle I could see the man looking up at me.

"Do you know who you are-" he stopped his sentence. Ha! Scared are we. I'm so a boss. "Zeonna?"

I looked up slowly and saw four men. A felt my forehead crease as I grew confused. Which one of them knew me and how? They all were blessed with nice suits and looks. One thing I noticed for sure, they had money and a lot of it. I examined the first three, looking for a familiar face but none. That was until I looked at the fourth one and saw one of my greatest fears. Hell, my only fear. Someone who could ruin anyone's life. Including mine.

Yep yours truly, the one and only Blade.
