Luke's Pov

I yawned as I made my way down the stairs. I walked into the kitchen to be greeted by my mother and Julie.

I looked at the empty space and furrowed my eyebrows. "Where's Emily?" I asked, looking at Julie.

"I don't know. She left like an hour ago," she said while glancing down at her watch. I nodded my head at her and left the kitchen, making my way back to my bedroom.

I quickly grabbed some black sweats, and a white v-neck and promptly made my way to the bathroom. I'm so glad that it's Saturday. I'm so exhausted with school and all that.

After about twenty minutes, I finished my shower and got dressed.

As I walked downstairs, I noticed the TV playing Spongebob. I walked over to the living room, and to my surprise, Emily is sitting there.

I walked around the couch and took a seat next to her. Her head snapped towards me, and she gave me a breathtaking smile, and I gladly returned it.

We sat there for a few minutes in complete silence, well except for the TV. Suddenly I remembered the razor from last night.

I glanced down at Emily's wrists, trying to see If there might be any scars, but her top was covering it.

I quickly got up when an idea popped into my head. I stood in front of Emily, and she looked up at me with confusion written all over her face.

"Come on. I'm taking you out," I stated and before she could say anything, I grabbed her wrists and pulled her up so that she was standing.

She wasn't wincing or anything, so I guess she didn't cut her wrists. Maybe she cut somewhere else. I've watched a lot of movies where people don't necessarily cut their wrists.

"Grab everything you need. I'll be right back," I said and quickly ran upstairs. I took off my sweats and threw it to the corner of my room and put on some jeans with my black Jordans.

I walked downstairs and saw Emily awkwardly standing there, shifting her weight from the one leg onto the other.

I smiled at how cute she looked when she did that. She almost looks like a little girl who thinks she's in trouble.

Emily looked up from the ground and gave me a small smile. I walked up to her and grabbed her and led her out to my car.

As she got in, I started the car and took off. I glanced at Emily from the corner of my eye and noticed how tense she was. I placed my hand on her thigh and quickly looked at her to see her head snapping towards me, making her tense up more.

"Relax, Emily," I said while turning my gaze onto the road again. I slowly took my hand off of her thigh and placed it onto the steering wheel.

"Where are we going?" Emily asked in that angelic voice of her. I smiled as I thought that and quickly glanced at Emily to see her looking at me with her head tilted to the right.

"McDonalds," I stated and turned my attention back to the road. "Why?" She asked, and I saw her shift in her seat from the corner of my eye.

"Because I'm hungry," I stated like it was apparent.

"Okay. But why drag me along?" She asked, pulling her eyebrows together.

"Because we have to get some food in your stomach," I said while quickly looking at her then back to the road.
