first love is special. it is special because we are inexperienced. naive. untainted. completely accepting. not knowing what is good for us or bad.
only being certain of the strong, almost alien feelings that build inside us when we see that other person.
it is special because it teaches us. teaches us things we have never known and would never know about ourselves otherwise.
it is special because the loss of first love is the first time we are truly broken.
some of us have broken before the person has even left our lives.
and some have broken long after what they had has been filed away in the history books.
but the pain does not last forever. we all have the ability to heal.
and sometimes, just sometimes.
we help each other heal ourselves.
