We walk side by side but don't speak as we continue down the trail. The crickets sing in the distance and the full moon shines bright above us. The plan is to find a hotel or something for the night, about twenty miles or so from where my mother was spotted. Then come the right time, I'm going to teleport us into the building. Hopefully get in and out fast before the other light forces show up. We had to leave quickly and quietly. It wouldn't be fair to drag Ace into this, he's not of supernatural decent. That's not his place and honestly I don't think I'd be able to handle if he were to get hurt. He might've broken my heart, but he's a good guy and he has a great life ahead of him, he just needs to find the right path.

"So, you planning on talking to me or is this going to just be a miserable night?" He asks grabbing my wrist. I turn around as he gives a slight tug.

"Not sure what you want me to say?"

"That you forgive me?" He asks and I step back.

"I don't even truly know what there is to forgive. Your lies, the betrayal, the cruel knowledge. I don't know what or even if there is anything for me to forgive. I mean would you easily believe me if we were in switched places?" I ask and he sighs

"What's it going to take Neveah?" He asks and I shake my head backing up.

"Truth Shane. Something real." I mumble then turn back around and keep walking.

"Hello how can I help you?"

"Room for two." Shane says and the lady looks between us.

"Separate beds?"

"Ye-

"No." Shane says looking over at me. I glare at him then smile at the lady.

"We're newly weds. She's still not used to it." Shane says and I force another smile.

"Oh! Congratulations!"

"Thanks." I say with a smile as Shane wraps his arm around me. She smiles so brightly and I have to literally keep everything down.

"I just love seeing young couples. You two are adorable together, great choice." She says and I smile.

"Thank you." Shane says and I nod she smiles then turns to her computer.

"One queen bed?" she asks and I nod.

"Yes please." I say through clenched teeth and she nods with a smile.

"Very well, room 444."

"Thank you. Honey, you want to take care of this one?" I ask dangling the key in front of my face.

"I'd love to, babe." He says and I glare then turn on my heel. I head to the elevator while he pays and hit the up button. It opens to me and I step on. Shane slips in right as the doors are closing and I cross my arms as he hits four.

We take the elevator in silence and I sigh as it finally opens. I couldn't get off soon enough as I practically sprint from the elevator and to our room. I unlock the door then walk in throwing my duffle into the chair in the corner. Shane comes in behind me and puts his duffle on the desk. I walk over to the window and look out seeing a balcony. I turn around and find him staring at me.

"What Shane?" I ask and he shrugs.

"Yeah okay, I'll be in the shower." I mumble then walk by him. I head into the bathroom and turn on the shower water then strip my clothes. Titanium comes to mind and I hum it as I hang my towel then push back the curtain. I continue to hum as I clean my hair then slowly push into a full sing. The shower water runs over me and I lean back letting it wash off the soap. I move back into a hum as I clean my body and slap some conditioner into my hair. The shower water turns cold but thankfully I'm done by then. I climb out of the shower then pull a towel around myself. I walk over to the mirror and wipe off the steam and stare at my reflection. The door opens and I turn as Shane walks in.
