Here are my entries for the Noice, hosted by GuildOfGraphics.

Check out this chapter every time it's updated as a new graphic will be added.

1| The Battle Rounds

prompt: You are to find a published duology set and recreate the cover set, one of you taking the first cover and the other one taking the second. But here's the twist; you must change one major element of that cover, so use that cover to inspire your new one: If it's object-based, try a model, incorporating a few of the themes and tones into the new cover but making it your creation!

2| Knockouts

prompt: The graphic will be a photo manipulation. While we love pretty fantasy photo manipulations as much as you do, we want this round to be about sending a message and taking a stand on a topic of your choice.

note: I wanted to post this since today, September 21, 2017, is the 45th anniversary of the Martial Law by the late president/dictator Ferdinand Marcos.

...death comes by night.

The war on drugs in the Philippines is leaving hundreds dead in the streets.

Lives are taken without the sanction of any judicial proceeding or legal process.
Even the innocents are not spared.

If you're suspected to be involved in drugs, regardless if you're indeed guilty or not, you'll most likely be shot dead.

I'm not sure if this is really a war on drugs because, to be honest, it seems like a war against the poor and defenseless.

What's seen cannot truly be the truth amongst the shadows. Actions are deceiving. The light that protects us creates a darkness that executes.

President Duterte already unleashed three wars of death and destruction: Oplan Tokhang, Oplan Kapayapaan, and Martial Law.

We don't even have martial law in the whole country, and yet troops kill like in Mindanao.

And now with the threats of a nationwide declaration of martial law, "We have to remind ourselves, the lang that makes us quick to turn away from the killings is the same lang that makes it easier for the police or soldier to pump the bullet, or bullets, into their victims," (Tan, 2017)– http://opinion.inquirer.net/107275/will-will-not

P.S. The shadows on the wall are intentional and serve only as a symbol. Also, lang is a Filipino word and short for lamang. It means 'only' or 'just' and is used to express a limitation. (e.g. "Kaibigan lang" → "Just a Friend")
