The Ebony Sow watched through the fence as the two men buried their father in the back yard. It then turned and began walking. It twisted and turned through back alleys and side streets.

Those who saw it rubbed their eyes in disbelief. Seeing a pure black pig of that size on Halloween couldn't be a blessing. It more than likely meant bad omens were afoot, they thought to themselves.

Finally the pig came to rest, later that afternoon, in the woods that surrounded a small park. It watched, from a distance, a cat who sat waiting in the woods, next to a hole it had dug.
