He shakes his head. He knows the entire story now, and that means I'm in hot water with him and Gil.
"Don't get Gil in trouble. I'd rather it be me than him."
"I'm going to have him move out, Matthew. It will be for the best. Your father will move in and just raise you entirely. I'm going to be with the rest of the Nations."
"Arthur..."
"My mind is made up. Goodbye, Matthew. I love you."
I have all too much difficulty believing his last three words as he leaves the room.
