Killian felt uneasy as he approached the gathering ahead of him. He didn't like meeting with the Witchfolk. They were so full of judgement it made him sick. They were so pure. So good. So simple. He could never understand why they didn't want more. They had all of this power and yet they were happy to simper in the background. He looked at each of them with contempt as he got closer.

There was Lilith. She was a quite the woman to behold, it was true. But her haughty stare made him snarl at her none the less. She thinks she's better than me, he though with a low growl. Beside her stood her partner, Doug. He was impressive man with dark hair, slightly greying at the sides which made him look distinguished and wise. Killian knew that Doug's thoughts and opinions carried a lot of weight with Lilith, which made him powerful. Beside Doug stood Tyler's mother, Phyllis. She was also a respected leader among the Witchfolk. She was not a member of The Council, but whispered in many of their ears. Finally, on the other side of Lilith, was her own daughter, Jasmine. Killian smirked when he saw her, enjoying the discomfort he thought her presence would cause for Tyler.

For his part, Killian had brought his own father, Rhys, who had a mighty countenance that exuded power and, Killian had to admit, a certain air of arrogance. Rhys had insisted on coming even though Killian had advised against it. He didn't think Samantha would like him. He also brought his brother, Michael. Michael was famous with Humankind. One self-inflated revelation and they all thought he was an angel. Killian laughed to himself. Michael really enjoyed the attention. Killian's last chosen representative was is long-time friend Keegan. They had confided in each other for at least a hundred years, and Killian wanted him here so that they could make decisions together later on.

Killian and his group stopped about five feet away from the gathering. He looked around at their meeting place and was impressed with the lovely forest that surrounded him. There were towering pine trees and ferns covered the forest floor. Flowers poked through the undergrowth here and there. There was a blanket spread on the ground in a small clearing. Killian saw Samantha sitting on it along with her own people. The Witchfolk were standing on the other side of the blanket. He heard Samantha ask them to sit. They did. But they kept their eyes on Killian's group.

Samantha looked over to Killian. He frowned as he noticed a flutter in his heart when their eyes met. He glanced at Tyler beside her and his frown deepened. He didn't like that guy. He noticed with annoyance that Tyler was frowning back at him. But Samantha smiled warmly and asked him to come and join them. He lead his group over and sat on the blanket.

"We would like to thank you all for coming," Samantha started. She looked to each person. "We have some very exciting news to share with you. I know you all think that I am the one who was mentioned in a prophecy. Maybe I am. I don't know." She looked at them all and shrugged. "However, I do have a plan for peace."

"That wasn't part of the prophecy, actually," interrupted Killian.

Samantha frowned now as she looked at Killian. "But surely, after any kind of war, there is peace?" she asked.

Killian didn't reply. He guessed she was kind of right. He'd never thought beyond the war.

"I thought we could skip the war part," Samantha smiled. She paused. "We have created a New World. The World of Light. I know its creation caused some stir with the Witchfolk, as it shook the Fabric." Now Killian smiled. He knew exactly what the Witchfolk would think of that. He almost laughed when they all started talking at once. "Please, please, one at a time," said Samantha, with a grin of her own. Killian liked the way she worked.
