Jack Kelly has been surrounded by death for most of his life. But after dealing with the death of someone he considers a brother, he is struggling to hold on. Haunted by his passing, Jack can hardly focus on his new life at college and his art. His relationships with his living friends become strained as he gets lost in the "what-if"s of his life.

That's until things finally start to come together. As his life begins to fall into place in ways he never thought possible, he can't help but wonder if it's his dearly departed friend guiding him in the right direction. Is there someone from beyond helping him to succeed? If so, what is the presence's plan, and what does it have to do with the mystery girl he saw after the funeral?
