2. We haven't changed
Most of Izukus memories were blurry. He couldn't remember his mom's face nor the face of the other villages in the town he lived in. Even now, after seeing Kacchan, his memories of them were still unclear. One memory in particular clear stayed in his mind.
He then remembered. He was on the field that was closest to the forest. He was waiting for the other kids in the village to come so they could head to the nearby river. He sat by a tree and waited. He was always the first one to arrive at their meeting spot as he would usually be the most excited.
At the river they would exercise their magical skills. It was quite weird for him to be that excited as he was the one who couldn't even lift leaf using his magic. In contrast, Kacchan would create swords or shields effortlessly. Kacchan was known around the whole country he as a child prodigy and he was the one who made the small town they lived in known. Deku was the nickname Kacchan gave him as it was clear even for a child he was useless as magic.
Izuku made sure not to be bothered by Kacchan constant bullying and exercised has skills daily so he could improve. He placed a leaf in front of him. He wanted to try to lift it just as he saw Kacchan doing. But then he stopped.
He heard footsteps approaching him. They were coming from the forest. Izuku thought it was odd as nobody would come from the forest this easy. He justified it was probably one of the village kids trying to pull a prank on him. He turned his head to greet however was approaching him.
It wasn't human. The creature was crawling toward him. His eyes looked shocked as if he didn't think he would be seen. Its eyes weren't in their rightful place instead they were hanging low almost touching the ground. Its body was thin as if he wasn't fed for decades. The monster's mouth formed a grin. Izuku's hands were the only parts of his body that could react. He pointed his hands towards the closest tree to the creature. He had seen Kacchan pull this move before. He simply had to move his hands toward an object, concentrate and then move his arms in the direction they wanted the object to go.
As soon as he saw the creature lift its arm to move toward him his arms moved. The tree didn't fall. Only a leaf. In any normal circumstance he would be happy; he finally could say he was able to do magic. But this wasn't a normal circumstance.
The leaf landed on the bold head of the monster. The next thing Izuku knew the monster was running toward him. Izuku didn't even have time to get of the ground as the creature had already grabbed him by his leg.
The poor boy tried kicking it but his grip only got stronger. He regreted not running away. Tears formed in his eyes. Then an idea formed in his mind. He could try using the magic skill, that worked for him seconds ago. But instead of moving his whole body he could try moving only its thumb. It would be enough to make the grip break and let him escape.
He raised his hands once more. His concentrated on the creatures thumb. He then lifted his arms as high as he could. The creatures thumb was only slightly moved but it was enough for Izuku to get his leg out out of the grip. His leg was injured but he knew he had to run at full speed.
He didn't run for much before his body froze. He couldn't move a single finger. If it was the creature who froze his body he was done for.
" What here you running from? " Izuku's body relaxed. It was Kacchan. Now he could've move his body freely. Kacchan probably had frozen his body so he would stop running.
" Something attacked me. It came from the forest. Look." he said pointing at the creature's sillhouette.
" There's nothing there Deku." Kacchan said with his harsh voice.
" There is something there. Look its entering the forest. It just attacked me. " Izuku pointed at his injured leg. "See?"
Kacchan's eyes widen. " Deku."
"Yeah..?"
" I think you are a spirit traveler. "
Izuku never understood why the whole memory was in a first person point of view except the last second in which he remembered seeing his terrified face.
" Deku " Katsuki groaned. " I know it's nostalgic and shit to be again outside and not in that damm prison cell but we still have shit to do."
Izuku opened his eyes. It didn't take long to adjust to the light as it was quite dark outside. He started following Katsuki. The only building in miles was a gigantic marble castle. Things must've changed since he last saw Katsuki. When they were kids Katsuki always bragged about getting a castle in the future when he will become a sorcerer but Izuku didn't think he would be able to get a castle so soon.
The walk there was silent. Once at the magestic castle door, Kacchan knocked once and the door was opened by a knight. He had dark hair and dark eyes. He was taller than Katsuki but wasn't quite as muscular.
" We are leaving in the morning, Deku." Katsuki announced.
" Where? "
" We are going to do our first mission together."
" So soon?" Izuku was surprised. The Katsuki he remembered wouldn't rush into doing anything.
" Yes. Now Iida please show Deku his room and get him ready for bed. Also tell the others to pack things for tomorrow's journey. It will be a short journey, only about 3 days long. "
"Yes sir everything shall be ready by morning. And for the new spirit traveler will he stay in former room of Ki-"
The knight, Iida , was cut of by Katsuki's harsh tone. " Yes."

The chapter had more action than actual cute ship moments between the characters. I know. But the chapter is twice as long as the first one. I hope you are happy :)Anyway enough rambling I shall see you next week.
