Suho- Rain

It was one of those ugly days in monsoon when it's still 3:00 in the afternoon, but dark clouds veil the azure skies like an unattractive winter jacket, giving it the typical horror movie setting. Suho hated rainy days, especially the ones when you can't figure out whether you should plan something or not. The clouds weren't trustworthy. They looked like they'd pour, or it seemed like they'd pour, but there wasn't a drop of water that had touched the ground yet.

Considering the said facts and internally debating whether he should go out or not, Suho finally decided to leave his spacious, yet enclosing apartment in order to go, get some fresh air.

The journey till the nearby supermarket was fine, since he had managed to find his favourite eatables and thank heavens, no one had recognised him. The spine chilling breeze that kept hitting his body and had done a good job to justify his heavy and warm attire that practically covered his whole body, his face included.

Suho spotted the gates of a park nearby, then looked up at the dark clouds above his head. "As if it's going to rain today." He snorted. "It wouldn't hurt to take a brisk walk in that park." Mumbling to himself, the young man made his way towards the almost empty park.

The weather had also done a fine job in driving visitors away from the park. There were only some young, Baekhyun-energetic kids, running about in the park and one other girl who sat on a nearby bench, rubbing her eyes. On a closer look, he realised that she was wiping the tears that were flowing down her cheeks. It would be uncomfortable to both of them if he stared any longer, so Suho just shrugged and walked ahead. It was none of his business anyway.

Suho looked around the park once again. Perfect surroundings to have a peaceful walk... or so he thought.

Approximately three minutes into the walk, the clouds had started mocking Suho's overconfident nature. Suddenly, it had started raining heavily and before the boy could find himself a shelter, he was drenched head to toe. The kids had run away, probably to their respective homes, but Suho's apartment was at least a ten minute walk from the park. It would be a futile attempt to rush home, but there was no appropriate shelter to protect himself from the rain either.

Suho felt a tap on his shoulder, making him flinch and turn his body 360 degrees. It was a little startling to him, judging from how he stared at the person before him. It was the girl he saw crying earlier. Her eyes were still puffy, her cheeks still crimson, but she also looked undeniably pretty. She was drenched as well, but her fingers were firmly gripped around a closed umbrella.

He was sure that the girl didn't recognise him or at least, that was what he hoped. The lower half of his handsome features were covered with a black face mask and the hood of his pullover covered his undone hair. It was difficult to guess his identity by merely looking at his eyes.

Before Suho could say something, the girl pushed the plain, transparent umbrella in his direction. He looked at her questioningly, but when she shoved it further towards his chest, the polite male only shook his head in response.

"How are you going to go home then?" He asked into the rain.

"I don't have to. Just take this." The girl insisted, her lips parting to let some droplets of the rainwater seep into her mouth. It must've tasted bad, since she immediately spat them out. Eyes squinted and her body language tense, the girl grabbed his hand that was dropped to his side and placed the umbrella in it. "Head home before you fall sick." She suggested. Without giving him a chance to speak, the girl turned on her heel and began walking away.

Enchanted by her beauty, Suho stood frozen in his position until he snapped out of the trance and rushed to catch up with her. He unfolded the umbrella and swiftly held it above her head. "How about we just share it?" He offered, but without a hint of hesitation in her actions, the girl stepped away from him. She bowed formally and resumed her attempt on getting away from him.

She stopped for a moment and then turned back to look at the disappointed boy. His face almost lightened up with joy, but she said something really surprising. "You're Suho, from EXO..." She didn't guess or anything, just said it as if she were stating facts. Suho didn't know if it was okay to say anything, so he just remained quiet. "You're really handsome in person. I love your voice so much. I'm your fan." She smiled and walked into the rain without sparing him another glance. Suho was awestruck. He didn't know if it was her charming appearance or the soothing sound of her voice. Whatever it was, he liked it.

He liked her.

But unfortunately, that was the last time he was probably going to see her. It was highly unlikely that he'd cross paths with the same girl again. "I didn't even get to say thank you." Sighing to himself, Suho held the umbrella above his head and walked back to his apartment.

The very next day, Suho found a very surprising, yet heart-breaking report in the local newspaper delivered to his apartment door.

Jung Ji-Hyun, a 20 year old student was found dead in her apartment yesterday night. Apparently, the girl had overdosed herself with sleeping pills three days ago, but the neighbours only found out yesterday and immediately contacted the local police.

Beside the article was a picture of the girl that lent Suho an umbrella yesterday. The umbrella that was nowhere to be found in his apartment when he searched later.

The ending, I know! It probably made it seem like a horror story, but I originally had plans to make this one an angst imagine. I just realised that all my stories have a happy ending. It's nice to try other genres. We'll give Suho a fluff and cute imagine next time. <3
