"What are you doing here, Grace?" I said, bolting up from my bed and standing up in fight position.

"Oh, Red. Can't I see my old friend?"

"We were never friends, Grace! You killed parts of my family. Full parts!"

"Now, Red. Don't get feisty with me. You are lucky I didn't kill you."

"You hadn't even killed me! I slipped!"

"I saved you! I could've let you drown." I took a deep breath.

"Why are you here?" I said more harshly.

"Oh, I am here because I wanted to say that the vampire academy has its eye on you. I'm just going to let out a warning that if you step foot out of here without your friends, you will be kidnapped and tortured."

I punched Grace across the face. "Oh, Hunter. Wrong move." She then scratched me and threw me against the wall, bringing her fangs out. I took he throat to hold her back. I kneed Grace into the stomach and then pulled her by the hair and punched her a couple of times across the face.

Then, that was when she had the devil in her. My training didn't cove any of this. For the first time I didn't know what to do. She pushed me against the wall and her fangs came out again. I couldn't hold her back. She was too strong.

She was about to go for my neck, by I struggled too much, so she go my arm and bit into it. I screamed bloody murder.

"Dane!" I screamed. He was the only one I could really call. I heard him come into the room and he through Grace off of me. I fell to the floor with blood still gushing from me.

"You can't run forever, Hunter!" Grace cackle and then sped away.

"Red." Dane gasped. "What happened?"

"Dane? Is that you?" I asked. My vision was getting blurry.

"Ok, someone is coming. Abigail. Abigail!"

"I'm here don't worry." I said, my vision getting darker. "Am I dying?" Dane kissed my forehead.

"I hope not."

"You want to know what a good idea would be?"

"What?"

"To get me help."

"Oh, right." he picked me up and dashed me through the halls. That was when I went out.

When I did wake up, the lights were really bright. I kept blinking my eyes. Was I in a real life hospital or a werewolf one. It smelt like wolf so it must be a werewolf one.

I turned my head to see a sleeping Dane next to my bed with his head on my hand. I looked over to my arm and saw that the bite marks were gone.

"Dane?" I whispered. He struggled to respond, but after a while he woke up.

"Red?" he whispered back. "You're ok!" he almost yelled. He threw his arms over my neck and hugged me. I did the same to him and I put my neck into the curve of his.

"You're ok." he breathed out again.

"Yeah." I said. I let go of him and he let go of me. "How long have I been out?"

"Three weeks. Don't worry, though. The doctor said that if you woke up today, you could go. He took all the venom out."

"Have you been sleeping here for..."

"Three weeks? Yeah. Sorry." I kissed his cheek.

"Thanks. Now, I need to slay vampires and look out for wolves. Yippee."

"I was always wondering why you came to the academy."

"It's because my mother thought that you guys stole the fairies, so I was sent to retrieve them, but it turns out that you don't have them, so she has sent me to the academy to kill off teachers and so when they ring me they actually want me to kill either a vampire or a wolf." I looked down. J wasn't sure how Dane was going to react.

"Oh. Ok." he seemed more cheerful than I thought.

"Yeah. So can I get out of this?" I asked. The doctor came in to unhook me, let me change into some good clothes and then I went into Dane's car. We headed back to the academy.

"You know, the boys have been really sad since you left."

"Which one's?"

"Every one. Even Joey and Casper."

"Oh. Wow. Was I really that missed?"

"Yeah, but now Alfie has become our school's journalist."

"Damn. I really didn't want to be in the school newspaper." Dane laughed at me.

"You're funny, Red."

"So, what time did I wake up again?"

"10:30 pm."

"So after curfew?"

"Basically. They have made an exception so now everyone can go to sleep at anytime until you arrive."

"Cool! Do I smell like wolf?" Dane smelt me and then got my perfume an sprayed me then smelt me again.

"Now you do."

When we got to the academy, I went the back way because everyone was crowding the front entrance. I saw everyone's backs turned to me and I crept up into the middle of the hall. Everything was silent.

"Oh, I guess no one really missed me that much." Everyone turned around and their faces lit up.

"Ab!" they all shout and basically I was in the middle of a hugging frenzy.

"Now, we all better go to bed." I said, going to bed. "We will catch up tomorrow. For now, I'm really tired. See you all in the morning. Kisses!" I then ran to the rooms.

"Are you racing me?" Dane said, running next to me.

"No, because you will win."

"Then here." he scooped me up and we dashed into the room. He closed the door and put me down.

"Thanks. Well, good night. Ahhh!" there was something moving in my bed. "Dane! There's something in my bed!"

"Oh, I said that Joey could sleep there from now on because his room mate snores."

"Harry snores?" I laughed.

"Yes. Now shut up!" Joey said.

"Okay, I'm bunkering with you then. You are taking the wall side." I said. Dane took his side facing Joey and I took my side facing Joey. I felt Dane's hands around my waist as he pulled me closer for warmth.

"I don't get it. Why does a werewolf need wolf. We're full of warmth." I saved my self with that last sentence.

"Fine, you can be cold." he whispered. Dane was about to let go of me, but I caught his hands.

"No thanks. I'm good." I said and he put his hands back around my waist.
