SUFFOCATION

The weight of a body

the unbearable pressure

of another life..

compressing,

suffocating,

what was left of hers.

No matter how much the courtesan yelled,

No one would come to her rescue.

No matter how much she begged,

He would not release her.

She was under the weight of his body.

Her torture seemed to go on for hours before he got bored,

And moved on in his drunkened daze.

There she laid in the damp street

Listening to water drip upon the cold ground.

A

violated,

unloved,

begging

courtesan
