Every morning, the state-approved messages blared out the speakers on the street.

"Everyone must be back at their houses by 8pm and must not leave. Music and art, as well as entertainment is strictly prohibited. Thank you for listening."

I hate living in this society. The government made this rule when I was young. We don't get to choose anything. We are told what to say and what to do. We don't have any freedom at all.

There's a wall at the far back of the city. The last person who tried to scale it was never seen or heard from again. I still don't know if that means he succeeded or he failed. I want to escape. But I don't know if we can do that.

The government installed cameras everywhere. Mum says she can remember what it was like before it became a dystopia. There still were rules and laws but we could do whatever we wanted (within reason).

I hate it. I wish it could go back to the way it was before.
