So in April time, I went to Spain and took a picture which I believe I added to an earlier chapter of this story. A few seeks ago (end of September) I took a picture of the same place. The first picture had beautiful blue waters and now it is completely dry! In a couple of months all the water has dried out and it was so odd to see!

Going into our palace for the first time is an emotional experience. It is so beautiful. Walls and floors of smooth grey stone decorated with intricate silver dragon ornaments, lights and potted flowers. Flowers with the red centres and dark and light purples petals that make up the flower that represents our family.

"They are a flower that only grows in this land. Unique and beautiful," Aspen tells us as she brushes along the silky petals. "It is said that they grow because of the nutrient soil, the warmth from some of the volcanoes, the freshest water and the strongest of winds that carry their seeds all over this land. These are the only conditions they can grow in. It is your magic and power that created these strong, beautiful plants. They can survive in the hottest temperatures, the flooded lands and strongest winds," she smiles, looking at us.

"I can understand why this would be our symbol, but why are all the ruling family symbols flowers? Do they have flowers that only grow in their lands?" I ask. Aspen laughs.

"No. You know how the first Ruler was chosen once Shadow's Heart was found?" she asks. I nod my head, remembering Kayleigh's lesson. That Shadow was once divided into six. Five, ruled by our ancestors, the sixth containing the heart. When the five rulers discovered they decided to have a trial to find the strongest of the five rulers. Whoever won would rule and unite Shadow under one High Ruler and Rule for two hundred years before passing on the role to another family. It was our ancestor, Evangeline Dragoheir who won.

"Well, Evangeline chose the flower to represent the Dragoheirs house. She thought it represented strength and growth of their lands and the people who lived there. So, the other rulers too decided they would have a flower to represent their families. The flowers from then on would represent peace, beauty, unity and growth. Though ours is still the most beautiful," she chuckles. I smile, looking at the beautiful flower. A memory pops back to me, appearing like it was never gone.

"Isla," my mother says, holding my father's hand as they walk over to me.

"Yes, mummy?" I ask.

"Follow us," she smiles as my father shifts into his fiery red dragon form and we climb on his back. She holds me tight in her arms as my father takes off and we rise into the skies. We laugh as he does tricks and as we fly through the clouds. Too soon, our little adventure is over and we are landing on the side of a mountain cliff. My father buries his claws into the rock and hangs from it. Mother walks onto a narrow ledge. The wind swirls her lilac hair and makes the beautiful layers of her silver dress flow gracefully around her.
