Small groups of students pass by
Lunch doesn't end for another five minutes
Warm sun shines on my back
When will you be here?
Loud music blasting through my earbuds
This song makes me think of you
I begin to ponder why I chose you, of all people
Maybe it's your appearance
The cheerful demeanor you carry with you everywhere
Or maybe it's your personality?
You're very kind, but have a cold heart at the same time
Who knows?
Whatever it is that drew me to you, it's perfect
I want to tell you how I feel
But, I know that rejection awaits me
After all, from what I've heard, you reject everyone
Maybe I'm the one who would change that?
Ha, as if
I already know I'm not special
Maybe you'd come to me?
Yeah, right
I already know that guys like you don't fall for girls like me
Maybe we'll fall in love
We'll be together forever
The perfect pair
But, that won't ever happen
Boys like you can't fall in love with girls like me
