Protectors

Part 4

I awoke lying on a couch.  It was soft and comfortable, with a couple pillows and a blanket that covered it. The room was a living room, with a fire place and a huge window in the middle of it. I sat up a bit as I looked at my feet. My ankle was wrapped with white gauze with red spots leaking through.  The sight of the spot made me feel weaker, seeing how I felt weak already.  I looked at my hands as they looked pale and turning white.  "What's happening?" I said as I heard footsteps.  I looked up seeing Ayato, walking in with a wine glass.  The glass was filled with what looked like blood.  It was dark red and it looked thicker than water.  I gasped as he sat on the couch next to me.  "Take this Lilly" he said as he came closer.  He picked up my head, lifting me up a bit.  He brought the glass up to my lips, as he poured the liquid into my mouth.

I felt it drip down my throat as he forced it gently. My eyes widen at him as I leaned back away from the glass.  I gasped for air as I looked at him.  He sat back as he held the glass so it won't spill.  "Lilly, you got to drink this. You won't regain the blood you lost if you don't."  I looked at him in shock.  "You drained blood from me" I said in fear.  Ayato shook his head.  "I didn't but another vampire did, so you have to get more into you" he said calmly.  My breath started to pick up more. "Your trying to kill me" I said between gasps. He huffed as he poured the blood back into my mouth.  I struggled to get out of his grip as I brushed my hand against his, making the blood pour onto the floor.  "Lilly, you have to get blood somehow" he said as he picked up a small looking tablet.   "Let's try taking this" he said as he handed the tablet to me.  I tried to get up away from him.  "Stop killing me" I said as I fought against him. Ayato didn't do anything, just put the tablet on the table.

Yui walked in as she sat by us.  "How you feeling Lilly? You still look pale" she said with worry. "She's not taking blood or the pill. And I tried to even force her, but she still fought me."  Yui looked at him in anger. "WHY YOU FORSE IT? SHE'S SCARED OF YOU!"  Ayato huffed as he got up and Yui took his spot.  She picked up the cup as she looked at me.  She sighed as she grew a upsetting look.  "Sorry Lilly, we need to do this" she said as she brought the glass up to me.  I pushed it back as my arm lost strength and fell onto the couch.  "Yui she's just gonna fight you, and she's already weak" Ayato said.  Yui huffed. "I can't let you die Lilly. Ayato, pin her down" she said upsettingly.  Yui got up off the couch, letting Ayato take her place.  He placed his hands on my arms, then sat on my legs.  I struggled to move but couldn't.  "Yui, make him stop" I cried in fear, as I tried to break free.  Yui picked up the glass as she came closer.  "Yui" I said in a panic.  "Lilly, I gotta do this.  I'm not letting you die" she said as she placed the glass to my lips, making me take the blood from it.  I gulped down the blood then coughed as she took the cup away. "Your looking a lot better now" she said as she placed the cup down.  Ayato got off me, as he sat on the table. "Wait a bit, but try to give her more soon" he said with a huff. Yui nodded as she sat on the table as well. 

"Yui, am I going to die?" I asked her.  "Not unless you take more blood. Want some more?" she said, picking up the glass again.  She forced me to take some more, then pulled the glass away from me.  I sat up, as I took the cup and finished it.  "That's a good girl" Ayato said as he took the glass away from Yui. He walked out of the room with it.  "Your color came back" she said as she sat back on the couch. I rubbed my head for a minute.  "How you feeling?" she said as I pulled myself up. "Better, but still weak."  "Your probably hungry, I'll get you something to eat" she said as she walked out. I sat up as I lied back on the couch, watching her come in with a plate of food.  "There, this will help" she said plopping it in front of me, then sat next to me. 

I picked up the fork as I started picking at it.  "It's good" I said, taking another bite. Yui smiled as she looked at me more.  "I'm glad you like it. Reiji cooked it tonight" she said as she watched me.  I smiled at her. "Well, he cooks like mom" I said as I chuckled.  Yui chuckled slightly as she looked down at the floor.  "Yeah, I'm not telling him about that."  I ate another bite, as I looked at her confused.  "Yui, who was those vamps that tried taking me?" She looked at me seriously.  "Oh just another family.  We're not friends of them. They did the same thing to me once. Stay with the Sakamaki family and you won't be harmed."    I started playing with my food as I thought.  "What do they want?"  "Blood. That's what every vamp wants.  But my friends are reasonable with it.  But that other family, not so much" she said with a laugh.  I smiled as I started eating again. "I'll let you eat some more" she said as she got up, and walked out of the room, letting me have some peace and quiet.
