I sat there watching, I sat there waiting. I hoped. I wondered.
Would you be back? Would I see you?
I gave you my heart. You treated it with love. You gave me kindness. You gave me strength. My love was given back tenfold. But within an instant, it was taken. My chest became tight, my eyes burn with tortured tears. What happened? What did I do? Was it I who caused this tragic Romeo and Juliet tale, or some greater force...I may never know.. All I know is that your heart was taken from me. Now I am....broken...
