When I was younger, I loved UNICORNS. Now every time I see one or someone mentions one, I scream that it's evil; quite literally I might add. I wanted to remember why. I think it's actually been a contributor from all points in my life. It was mainly triggered in 7th grade I think. Anyway, some experiences:
At one point, my 8th grade history teacher didn't agree in the theory I had of unicorns and constantly argued me on the topic and I actually wrote a list as to the reasons why I think they're evil. My English teacher that year even drew a unicorn on an assignment on mine and several kids in that class would insist I loved UNICORNS every where I went. One of my friends who was a grade below me insisted upon it since third grade and I called her crazy. A fandom of mine *cough cough Gravity Falls cough cough* made an episode almost purely about unicorns... and how they are complete a-holes. Good jobs Alex Hirsh. However, this was during my early days of events unicorn assumptions. One of my old friends loved and still loves unicorns and that was the final thing- after her declaration of love for these very real and horrible creatures I went out of my way to show that they were EVIL and HEARTLESS and SOUL/DREAM crushing BUTTHEADS.
