Yesterday we had everything
And now I'm melting into the cold pavement at the darkest
Staring at a full moon of sun-lust
Numbed for everyone's sake
Until the dawn kisses her awakeAnd now I'm idling in the driveway
The engine groans in the same way
As my neglected body
Because I haven't eaten todayAnd now my heart is flowing down the drain
Of a shower that's making me insane
It's stained with dirt and blood
I'm not sure I'd want to get out if I couldAnd now I'm in bed
Staring at the ceiling with an Indian thread
My throat is tight
I've cried so much I've got no fightToday, I've become a ghost
