when tom was on set in new york, and you we're back home in london, you both struggled with the distance just as much as any couple would. not only was it time zones that you struggled with but also busy schedules - especially his.
tom was the kind of boyfriend who wanted to spend as much time with you as he could, even when he was on set every single day, from early hours in the morning to late at night - he still called you on facetime as much as he could.
as you lounged around in yours and toms apartment, while watching reruns of how i met your mother while eating some chocolate, you felt your phone vibrating from beneath you. you pulled your phone out from your pocket and saw that tom was calling you, you immediately answered smiling as you saw him fixing his hair - obviously using his phone as a mirror.
"hi baby." he said with a smile plastered on his face.
"hi tommy." you laughed, knowing he hated being called that.
"hey y/n!" yelled harrison from the background.
"hi haz" you smiled. "hows shooting going?"
"really good! i miss you though." he said before letting out a small sigh.
"i miss you too, i promise i'll come see you soon!"
"whens soon?"
"it all depends when i can get time off work babe." you said, his response being a sigh.
you continued to talk to him about anything and everything. after talking to him for twenty minutes, which felt like five - he was called back onto set.
"i have to go now baby. i'll talk to you later yeah?" he said, followed by a nod from you. "see you soon. i love you"
"i love you too, now go be spiderman." you said as he laughed before hanging up.
you slumped back into your couch, before calling your boss - asking for some time off.
