*SS Class Mission*

-✬-Two in a half years later -✬-

"FIRE DRAGON ROAR!" Natsu exclaimed as (Y/n) dodged his attack with a swift back bend as the flames reared passed her face, singeing the ends of her (h/c) hair, she swiftly gets back up. "Natsu! look what you did to my hair!" she yelled with anger, Natsu was amused as he smirked ready to attack again when (Y/n) attacked faster, "WATER DRAGON ROAR!" Natsu quickly reacted and shouted back, "FIRE DRAGON ROAR!" Which hit (y/n)'s attack head-on and neutralized the attack. "Go Natsu! You can beat her this time!" The blue exceed known as happy exclaimed. Natsu felt cocky and his face showed it until he came to his senses. (Y/n) knows that Natsu knows that attack like the back of his hand, it was the one she used to help him train his magic. As soon as the rest of the attack subsided, Natsu could see the smirk on (Y/n)'s face as she spoke, "WATER DRAGON RAGE OF THE MONSOON." Natsu could barely make out anything until he was encased with water and lost consciousness. "Woah (Y/n)! You kicked Natsu's ass!" Happy exclaimed, "I knew you would beat him!" (Y/n) looked at the blue exceed with a smile and giggled, "Yeah, that's why you were telling Natsu three seconds ago that he could beat me this time." Natsu lay on the ground moaning, (Y/n) went over to him and leaned over the pink-haired boy as he slowly gained consciousness. "That's what you get for hurting my hair Natsu!" He looked at her as he grinned, "Sorry..." She reached out her hand for him to grab, "it's alright, just don't make a habit out it!" Natsu reached for her hand but instead of letting her help him, he pulled her down so she landed right next to him on the hard ground. "OW! NATSU WHAT IS THE BIG IDEA!" (Y/n)'s face was turning red with anger. Natsu laughed and started to tickle the pre-teen, she started laughing, "StOp ThIs NAtSu!" Her laughter quickly turned to anger as she kicked the young teenage boy in the stomach. "I SAID STOP IT YOU IDIOT!"  Natsu fell back in pain. "Two points for (Y/n) and none for Natsu!" Happy announced. (Y/n) went over to the boy again,"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to kick you that hard Natsu, I just... hate being tickled..." she said as she slumped over her sitting position trying to hide the red in her face. Natsu got up "It's all good (Y/n), no worries!" She smiled at him glad he wasn't hurt as she sprawled herself on the green grass looking at the sky. Natsu also fell to the ground as he winced in soreness. "You are not ok! Do you hear yourself!" (Y/n) scolded as she leaned over Natsu to get a better look at his face, "I can see it in your face too!" Natsu looked up at her face and couldn't help but blush at how close she was to his face. "Why are you blushing?"She questioned as she leaned back up "I'm not blushing!" Natsu yelled as the blue exceed sat next to them. "OOO, you like her." he said with a coo that made Natsu's face go redder. "I DO NOT! SHUT IT HAPPY!" Natsu yelled at him, (Y/n) giggled as she kissed his cheek, "I like you too Natsu!" and with that, she got up and ran into the guild leaving Natsu with a burning red sensation on his face.

The past two in a half years at the guild for (Y/n) were a dream come true. She had family and friends that she would do anything for. She became good friends with everyone, including Laxus, he was like a big brother to her. Over these past few years, her powers developed and outranked everyone in the guild including Gildarts. (Y/n) became an S- Class Mage at the age of 8, she had only been a part of Fairytail for a year at that point in time. Although she possessed this great power, she was always humble and kind to all, no matter who they were or their level in the guild. Everyone didn't really see her as a powerful Mage, she was still kind of childish in a way of her actions. Although one day Natsu and Gray were fighting - like they always do - and they accidentally threw a table and it hit an unsuspecting (Y/n) in the back of the head making her drop her drink on the ground. One thing you should know about (Y/n), she tries to be nice 99% of the time, but that other 1% can take its toll on anyone. That was the day everyone found out how scary she could get.

✬ (Y/n)'s POV ✬

It was the next day after my battle with Natsu, I was sitting at a table in the guild and I gently slammed my head against the rough table. I was extremely bored. I tried to distract myself but the only thought that came into my head was how cute Natsu was with his face all red like that, I smiled at the memory. The next thing I knew Master was talking to me, "So I see you are bored, my child." I looked up at him, "Yes.. I am." I said stalely as he smiled up at me, "I have a special mission if you would like to take it on." I perked up at the sound of a new mission. "And what may that mission be Master?" He smiled again, "It's an SS class mission on the island of Jamanrah, there is supposedly a deal made with the devil, where every year on the 20th of August all the firstborn children are taken away from their homes to be raised by demons, turning them with their blood." I jumped up with excitement, "This is perfect! I can have a real challenge of a mission to test my abilities!" Master looked up with a gleam in his eye, "I'm glad you are enthusiastic, here is the paper, you will be leaving tomorrow morning, they require our utmost attention." I gave him a crushing hug as I took the paper, "Thank you, Master! I won't let you down!" I ran out of the guild looking for Natsu and Happy telling him the good news. I could hear Master as I left "I know you won't disappoint me, or the guild."

I found Natsu and Happy eating under a tree in the middle of a field and I basically tackled them. "Guys guess what! I'm going on an SS class mission!" They nearly choked on their food, "YOU ARE." They both screamed as I sat criss-cross applesauce on the ground in front of them. "Yes, and I leave tomorrow morning!"

✬Natsu's POV ✬

"Ah! I'm mad I'm not an S-class Mage It sounds like a blast, it would be awesome to take down those demons!" I was really upset, I would have loved to go with her and fight those demons, just us two. I can't believe she's leaving tomorrow morning, I'm really going to miss her... "Hey (Y/n), how long are you going to be gone?" She thought for a moment and shrugged, "You know, I'm not very sure. I guess we'll find out!" and with that, she quickly waved goodbye and ran to her house to get packed. "Promise me you'll come back soon!" I yelled at her, and she looked back and yelled back "Promise!"
