Exactly one day later...

MORGAN'S POV.

It was the time of the day when I went to Mark's office for 20 minutes answering the same questions I answered every day.

Like;

How are you?

Did you sleep easy last night?

Did you hesitate to wake up this morning?

And sometimes if I were lucky enough he would offer me one of his jelly beans that were placed in the center of his desk.

I walk through the doors an take a seat in the small leather chair that was placed directly in front of his desk.

Mark was sort of a weird man if I may say.

He seemed slightly too friendly.

Something seemed off about him.

"Afternoon Morgan". Mark says.

I smile.

"Hi". I say.

He shuffles in his chair a bit.

"So how are you, Morgan?". He asks.

I knew he wasn't curious because every day I respond with the same response.

"I'm fine thanks".

"Good good". He says.

"And how did you sleep?". He asks with no curiosity.

"Better than last night". I say.

I also said that every day and then he would respond.

"Because it's one day closer to till I get out of here, right?". He states.

"Right". I would say.

"What have you consumed since I last saw you?". He asks.

"For dinner last night I had macaroni and cheese. For breakfast I had toast". I answer.

He nods his head.

"Could be better". He says out loud while writing it on a piece of paper.

"Jellybean?". He asks while shaking the clear bottle slightly.

I shrug my shoulders.

He pours a few into my hand.

By my luck they were all good colors.

Pink, Purple, and Blue.

I put one in my mouth.

"Why did you go out with Harry yesterday?". He asks.

I tilt my head slightly.

"Why does this matter?". I ask.

"Just curious". He says.

"Well if your just curious than it doesn't matter". I spit out.

Anger shows in his eyes.

Mark was fake.

He wasn't who he seemed to be.

Mark was 57.

He was also scarring me right now.

"Just thought it would be nice for me to get out". I finally say trying to calm him.

He nods his head.

I shuffle in my seat slightly.

The room was lingering with a mix of awkwardness and Anger.

A mix I did not like at all.
