❝I would do anything for him❞
❝Even if he loves someone else?❞
»»»«««
Christmas Day is less than a day away and [name] and her best friend are still buying last minute presents.
They've been to several stores already, yet [name] couldn't find the supposedly perfect gift for her crush.
"Anything is fine, [name]," said the female beside her, secretly giving her a pitiful look because she's been working so hard just to give a gift to the guy she's been crushing for two years.
".. But it has to be special, Hana," sighed [name] as her eyes searched around the store once more. She's been trying for the past few weeks, yet here she is, still with no gift.
"Look, [name], I love you but sometimes maybe the guy isn't worth it," Hana is serious as she says this, trying make her best friend calm down.
"I would do anything," whispered she, exiting the store without another word to Hana.
Following after her, Hana raised her brows, mentally asking if she could repeat what she just said.
".. I would do anything for him," rephrasing her words, [name] says in determination. She'll go around the mall one more time if she'll finally be able to find a gift for her one and only.
Biting her lip, Hana became nervous. "Even if he loves someone else?" She asks, knowing something that [name] doesn't. So far, she's doing a good job at hiding it.
Rumor has it around their school that Bokuto Koutarou is crushing on someone. And one nosey student just spilled the beans to Hana, making her heart clench in sorrow for her best friend.
"Anything," staying true to what she believes in, [name] repeated and went inside another store to give it a try.
Sighing, Hana follows after her best friend again. One thing she knows for sure, is that [name] won't give up until she finds the perfect gift; but secretly, she's hoping she would give up so that her best friend would avoid the heart break.

[Name] just had the perfect gift for Bokuto Koutarou, or so she thought, anyway.
She had carefully wrapped the gift last night with so much care and love it was as if she was treating it like it was her heart or something.
With a shaky breath, [name] gave herself a short pep talk before beginning to find the person she's going to give the present to.
She was certain he'd love it; he'd yell his thanks to her and give her a big bear hug. He would probably crush her with those arms of his, but it would be worth it if he accepted it and treated her as if he was her world; only even just for a moment.
Her heart beat quickens, in excitement and nervousness yet also in fear and tiredness because of how long she's been searching for him.
Yet the motivation to be able to see him and his envisioned reaction kept her going.
She reached the floor of the third years, because there's just something in her that's telling her that he's here. However, a small voice in the back of her brain is telling her to stop for a moment and maybe give the gift to him later.
But no, [name] just had to be a stubborn one and ran even though her weak legs were tired and screaming for her to stop.
The female student stopped when she heard voices, voices that were a bit all too familiar to her.
And so, quietly, she peeks her head from the window of the classroom to see what's going on.
And, the sight isn't what she expected at all.
Her long time crush, she was sure it was him, with that unique hairstyle of his no one would be able to miss it. He stood there, his broad back towards her.
Surprisingly, the one in front of him is none other than her best friend.
For a split second, Hana made eye contact with [name]. Both could see the sorrow in the other's eyes, the pain and suffering all at the same time.
Straining her ear to be able to hear, [name] stays quiet.
"--so please, go out with me!"
Everything goes downhill with that one statement, that one simple statement that sent [name] rattling; a chill ran down her spine.
For a moment, the world seems to stop. The sound of her heart shattering is evident, and the pestering of Hana yesterday replayed in her mind.
Yes, that's right, she would do anything for him. And anything for her best friend.
She knows that Hana had a past. Her last relationship wasn't successful, leaving her a heart broken mess; she was in need of someone to fill in the gap of her heart, and so [name] became just that. Yet, she wasn't enough, she realized that just now.
The world unfroze, and [name] forces herself to look at Hana. She gives the signal: a nod of her head, and a wide but fake smile that made her clutch unto the gift she has on her hands tightly.
"... Yes.." Hana gave a weak answer, the slightest smile on her face was evident.
At that one word, that simple word that made [name]'s vision turn into ruins.
Bokuto ran up to Hana, taking her in his arms and hugging her; the same picture that [name] thought would be happening to them, to her.
The sight was the final straw. The tears pooled in her eyes and fell just as quickly as it came. [Name] dropped the gift, seeing that there was no significance in it any longer, and she ran away.
The sound of something falling made Bokuto aware and he let's go of Hana. He opens the classroom's door, and sees the gift. He picks it up, seeing that his name was neatly written on it.
"Open it," ushered Hana, a tear managing to escape her eyes at the realization that the gift was the one she and [name] bought yesterday.
Tearing it apart, Bokuto then ends up with a picture frame in his hands. He flips it around, and noticed that there wasn't a photograph in it, but some sort of letter.
Be happy, because you're the best! ♡
