The Yule Ball

The Yule Ball was right around the corner. I was too nervous to ask someone out, not even as friends. It seems that everyone had already got someone to take with them, even Neville got Ginny.

I wanted to ask out the Slytherin Prince but HIM saying yes to an awkward Ravenclaw like me was less likely to happen than Anything.

"If you don't ask him your gonna end up lonely and then You will leave this school lonely and live the rest of your life lonely." My friend F/N was complaining to me.

"No need to be harsh." I fire back

"Whatever,do you like my dress?" She said holding up a teal floor length dress with a bow at the back and jewels around the neck line.

I started at it in awe, thinking that anyone who wore it would be an automatic princess.

"Where did you get this?" Was the first question in mind

"My mothers old dress for her winter ball."

"It's beautiful."

I then realised I didn't have a dress, I was going anyway so I had to wear something.

"Hey y/n?" I murmured.

"What??" She replied.

"Do you have a spare dress, I don't have any suitable ones." I asked anxiously.

"I do actually, it was another ones of my mums but it was to small, your smaller than me anyway." She replied, taking my nerves away.

"Let's see!" I replied eagerly.

She goes away to her wardrobe and second later she comes back with a lilac sky like dress, with some cutouts. The cutouts made me feel self conscious about my body though.

"Can you like..cover the cutouts?" I added.

"What??!! All the boys will fall for you!" F/n replied. "And besides, Draco would love it!"

"Hmm I'm not sure." I questioned

A few minutes of ya bickering on went by until I finally just agreed to let the cutouts be there.

It was that day. I didn't ask him out yet but for a fact I knew he didn't have anyone go with him.

"Go on! Do it!!" F/n shouted while pushing me as I refuse and push against.

"He's gonna reject me anyway." I murmur.

Before I knew it, I had been pushed to far into Draco's arms, pushing both of us back and him collapsing on top of me.

"Oh my gosh I'm so so sorry!" I exclaim while getting back up as he lifted his body up.

"Could be more careful." He said with a grudge. He held his gut as he look over at me.

"Hey! You two should kiss!" A random Slytherin which I didn't know had shouted, making my face blush with embarrassment.

"Piss off." Draco says to the student and he anxiously runs off.

"I'm sorry about him, he really gets on my nerves." Draco added.

"It's ok." I replied, "Umm, I'm just gonna say it but doyouwanttogototheballwithme?" I said rushing.

"Pardon, I didn't hear you." He said

"Do you want to go to the ball with me?" I say with more Care and look away after I realised how silly it sounded.

"Sure." Draco said but I didn't hear.

Without knowing and thinking he said no, I rush over to my friends d push her away to a corner.

"Oh. My. God. For merlins sake how did you do that?" She exclaimed.

"Do what?"

Get Draco to go with you?!"

"He said yes??" I question

"Oh my god, your so daft. YES HE DID!"

Inside I was screaming but outside I just dropped my jaw to the floor.

"Let's just say that your on a roll." My friend said after ages.

And it turned out everything was just perfect.
