chapter thirty one

sebastian was laid in bed awake worried about his mom worried about his grandad and wishing rachel was kaid beside him.

as he laid there lost in his thoughts he heard the house phone ring fear set as he looked at the clock and saw ot was gone two in the morning he quickly got up and ran out of his room to his grandparents. skylar was also running to their room with nora and penny also making there way.

lily opened the bedroom door sj was still on the house phone lily looked emotional.

" grandma " sebastian said lily looked at jim and reached up and cupped his face.

" he is awake " lily said tears started pouring down her face.

" is he ok" penny asked as sj put the phone down.

" the doctors were surprised at him waking up givennthey put him into a medical induced coma but maggie said the doctor said given he can talk and knows who she is its a very good sign. he is going for a scan now to see if the swelling has reduced" sj said

" im going to the hospital " sebastian said

" we will all go in the morning" lily said

" no my mom is there alone while he has a scan she needs me and i dud to be with her" sebastian said

" let the boy go lily if its what he wants" sj said

sebastian ran to his room and grabbed hi phone he sent rachel a message telling her martin was awake he knew it was the middle of the night but he had to tell her. then he frantically got dressed before  grabbing his car keys and leaving his room and running down the stairs. only for lily to block the front door though she had a warm smile on her face.

" grandma grandad said i could go" sebastian said

" i know and im not stopping you but i have rung you a taxi your tired and ten minutes ago you were in bed plus your desperate to get to your mom last thing she need is you having an accident" lily said

" thank you" sebastian said

" here you are seb take this" nora said walking out of the kitchen carrying a bag.

" what is it" sebastian asked

" sandwiches i dont think maggie has ate anything since martin was hurt" nora said sebastian nodded and tuck the bag as he heard his taxi pull up.

the journey to the hospital seemed to take forever  but he knew he had made the right decision his mom needed him.

finally he arrived and rushed to the elevator which like the journey there seemed to take forever.

as he reached the ward martin was on sebastian headed quietly to his room givennthe other patients were asleep.

he opened the door to see hus mom and martin staring into each others eyes feeling he was interupting a special moment he went to leave...

" hello seb" Martin said not taking his eyes off maggie.

" hey" sebastian said entering the room once he reacged his moms side martin looked at him and smiled.

"your mom said you would turn up" martin said

" how are you feeling" sebastian asked

" well my head feels like an elephant is sitting on it but i have to say all things considered not too bad" martin said looking back at maggie.

" you knew i woud come" sebastian asked his mom.

" i did " maggie said looking giving him a smile as a docyor walked in.

" its time for your scan" the doctor said

" ok i will be back maggie" martin said squeezing her hand

" im not going anywhere" maggie said but he took hold of sebastian's hand as martin was wheeled out of the room once he was gone sebastian turned to look at his mom.

" are you alright" sebastian asked

" he said my name he mumbled but my name was the first thing he said" maggie said happy tears dripped down her face.

" come here" sebastian said hugged her.

" thank you for understanding " maggie said as they hugged.

" mom seeing you married to that prick was harder than this your happy i think tjis is the first time i have ever seen you actually happy" sebastian said

" you with rachel and me with martin i think our luck has finally turned" maggie said stroking his hair.

" yeah because true love does conquer all" sebastian said as a gently knock on the door made them both turn to look at the door.

" come in" maggie said and in walked rachel.

" rach " sebastian said walking over to her and hugging her and giving her a quick kiss.

" i got your text i left the volume on my cell incase martin tuck a turn and you rang me i got your message i knew you would come here. i was going to text you but i was worried  you would be driving or think it was about martin" rachel said

" thank you" sebastian said cuddling her to him.

" are you ok" rachel asked maggie.

" i feel like im dreaming but its turning to a dream from a nightmare " maggie said

" are you hungry aunt nora sent sandwiches" sebastian said

" i am actually " maggie said he handed the bad to her.

" you should have rung me to meet you by your car its not safe for you to walk through the parking lott alone at this time." sebastian said kisding her forehead.

" i didnt come in my car my dad dropped me off" rachel said

" really" sebastian asked

" yeah they heard me racing around my room getting ready i told them that martin was awake and i said i was going to the hospital they said they would drop me off and pick me up when im ready" rachel said

"thats lovely of them" maggie said

" yeah it is" sebastian said

the three of then waited about an hour for martin to come back to the room his fsce lit up when he saw maggie.

" hello rachel " martin said

" hi" rachel said

" she came to be at his side" maggie said

" just like you did for me " martin said
